---------------
1. Introduction
---------------

Once upon a time, in a distant land, great warriors assembled to reach a
common goal: the unification of China. These brave warriors fought many
battles, each for his or her beliefs. The time period would later be called
the Three Kingdoms Era and the tales of these battles would be recorded in a
book called The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It is this time period that
the game Dynasty Warriors 5 is about.

-------------------
1a. Version History
-------------------

Version 1.0: Guide started and initially created.

Version 1.1: Updated Zhen Ji's weapon, Sun Jian's weapon, and lots of the
names for the Wu kingdom's weapons. Also started on the Stages part of the
FAQ. It's only incomplete because my computer crashed completely and I had
to get a new hard drive installed. I can't find my Microsoft Office CD, but
once I do, I should finish the stages and deem this guide complete. I might
just complete the guide with WordPad. It seems alright enough...just lacks
a spellchecker. While I don't make that many spelling mistakes, I am only
human after all.

Version 1.2: Updated the Tribal Remedy, worked on the stages more, deleted
the numbers at the top that I forgot to the last time...meh...

Version 1.3: Added some more general tips, worked on the stages section
more (now called Stage Walkthroughs), and added my first FAQ. I also gave
permission for another website to use my guide. Finally, I know I changed
something else, but I forgot what it was. If I remember, I'll put it down
here. If not, just think of it as a scavenger hunt to figure out what I
changed.

Version 1.4: Closer to getting that complete status. Added some
requirements to Cao Pi's and Lu Meng's fourth weapons. More stages done.
Finally past 200 A.D.! Odds are, the last of the fourth weapons will get
done after Version 2.0. I already put the requirements for them and some
general tips, but my special detailed walkthroughs will come after the stages
section is complete.

Version 2.0: I hereby declare my guide as complete. There are a few things
I have to spruce up, as well as make my guide look nicer. The bodyguard
section needs to be updated and a few of the fourth weapons needs to be
updated, but as far as information goes, everything is here.

Version 2.1: Okay...turns out I was a bigger idiot than I thought. For Sun
Jian's weapon, not only did I list the wrong stage, but I also listed a
walkthrough for that wrong stage! Meh... Fixed Lu Meng's fourth weapon,
again, and added more in depth strategies for Pang Tong and Huang Gai's
fourth weapons. I want to get the weapons finished up next, add the latest
information on the bodyguards after that, and then add star numbers beside
each stage and beside each fourth weapon. This guide my be complete
information wise, but I'm far from done with it. This guide will be a good
base for my DW5:XL guide. ^_~

Version 2.2: Added three more FAQs, one is a really frequently asked
question about weapons. I don't know if it's adressed in the manual or not,
but I keep getting it so I put it there. Also, a minor fix on the Hu Lao
Gate walkthrough. Added the latest information to the bodyguard section.
Completed Wei Yan's and Xu Zhu's fourth weapon in depth strategy and added
fourth weapon locations for Pang De, Sun Shang Xiang, and Ling Tong. I'd say
a pretty good update.

Version 2.3: Added Zhao Yun's fourth weapon location (I'm going back and
getting the fourth weapons again to confirm strategies and get locations)
Added Sun Quan's fourth weapon strategy. The only two characters I have left
are Xiahou Yuan and Zhou Tai. Since I dislike both of those characters
equally, it will take some time before I actually care enough to do them.
Added my item setup to the general tips section. Oh yea...I knew there was a
reason why for this update. Changed the Hex Mark Saddle requirements. I
think it's now right and correct and all that good stuff. I bet CJayC is
tired of my daily updates.

Version 2.4: Made minor corrections and adjustments to Yue Ying's, Jiang
Wei's, and Huang Zhong's fourth weapons. All of these "corrections" really
didn't affect getting the weapon if you used the strategy. They're just
minor details. I'm also thinking about mapping out the bodyguard attacks.
If someone wants to do it for me, they're more than welcome to. As always,
credit will be given. Hey...I'm not greedy and I'm not too proud to admit
when I'm wrong. ^_~ Added some minor formatting because people were
complaining and forming a mob outside my house.

Version 2.5: Added one more FAQ (THERE IS NO CAW GET OVER IT ALREADY!). Also
added Xiahou Yuan's weapon (only Zhou Tai left...as you can see, I don't
really care for him). If I haven't answered your e-mail, there's three
reasons for it: 1. My internet has been out a whole lot because the cable
jack is screwed up, but it's been fixed now. 2. I've been playing Dark Cloud
2 and RoTK9 a whole lot more than Dynasty Warriors 5. 3. I don't give a
damn?

Version 2.6: Added my tier list, which everyone should read because it's good
reading material and good, solid opinions on who the best characters are in
the game. Also, fixed some Dian Wei info and realized that there's two fifth
weapons still left to do (Sima Yi and Zhou Tai). I will get the last two
weapons done by the next version, I promise.

Version 3.0: I’m done with the last two weapons. I’m pretty much done with
this guide. I know that the European release has just happened, so I’ll still
be answering questions and fixing things if someone points out a mistake and
I’ll gradually be adding locations of weapons when I decide to get all the
weapons again (I’ve gotten some over again and I’m in the middle of maxing out
everyone), but other than that, this guide won’t be updated with any new
material.

Version 3.1: Apparently, I’m having apostrophe and dash issues. It was a lot
of fun replacing them...and then a lot more fun replacing them the second time
when I did the exact same thing to cause me to get the issues in the first
place. Good job me. They all should be fixed now and hopefully everything is
the same.

Version 3.2: Minor fixes to Zhou Yu’s description and added Ling Tong’s
stages, which I forgot to do last time (I seem to mess up a lot of Wu
characters).

1b. What’s Left?
----------------

Not much, if anything.

2. General Tips
---------------

My item setup: I personally just use the Red Hare Saddle (except for Ma
Chao, who gets the Shadow Saddle), the Fire Orb, the Peacock Amulet, the
Tiger Amulet, the Tortoise Amulet, Ginsing, and the Wind Scroll (except for
Ma Chao, who gets a Horned Helmet). I might every once in a while equip a
Dragon Amulet. I find that this is the best setup for me and how I play.

The two parts of the game: There are two important parts to the game: crowd
clearing and dueling. You must master both in order to be good at the game.
Each character has moves that are good for one part and good for the other
part. You'd be surprised at how your strategies can change when facing a
general in a crowd as opposed to facing a general by himself. Learn to
master both and you will master the game.

Learn to block: There is a block button in the game for a reason. I never
knew how important blocking was to the game until I played DW3:XL. In that
game, you either blocked or you died. It was pretty much that simple.
Blocking can be very important and sometimes the difference between life and
death. Don’t block when you’re surrounded by people. Block when the crowd
of people are in front of you. Blocking can also leave enemies wide open.
After they are done attacking you, give them a dose of their own medicine.

Combo up stat bonuses: You can use the Charge 5 attacks (press square four
times followed by triangle) to launch people into the air. If you
continuously do this, you will see a combo counter appear, telling you how
many times you have hit someone consecutively. If you kill an enemy general
with a high combo, the stat bonus they drop will increase. To make a +1 stat
bonus change into a +2 stat bonus, you must perform an 8 hit combo. To make
a +2 stat bonus change into a +4 stat bonus, you must perform a 16 hit combo.
To make a +4 stat bonus to change into a +8 stat bonus, you must perform a 24
hit combo. The Link special ability on bodyguards can make the amount of
hits you must perform on a general drop. This is really helpful in making
your characters stronger.

Backflips help: If you can, learn to reflexively backflip everytime you are
knocked down. To backflip, press L1 as soon as you hit the ground. The
timing is easy to get down and it helps you to get right back into the
action.

Save every once in a while: Saving in the middle of the game can help out
a whole lot, especially if you're getting fourth weapons. DW5 is a lot
easier to save than DW3 because you don't have to go back and continue your
game from the title screen as soon as you do it. Unless you like dying at
the worst times and then having to go through a level all over again, try to
save at around the middle of a stage.

Difficulty and stars: How hard a stage becomes is based on it's star
difficulty. When playing a five stage musou mode, the first stage is one
star, the second is two stars, and so on. I do not know how the progression
goes for a four, six, or eight stage musou mode. Also, increasing the
difficulty increases the stars of the stage by one. How did I figure this
out? On a five star stage, the Musou Wines and Dim Sums give out +20 instead
of +10. However, if you play a four star stage on Hard mode, it will also
give a +20, therefore the conclusion can be drawn that Hard increases the
stars by one (also, a four star stage on Hard plays similar to a five star
stage on Normal). Also, playing a musou mode on Hard mode will give you a
+20 on the fourth and fifth stage, but only a +20 on the fifth stage on
Normal mode, thus allowing me to draw the five stage five star conclusion.
You may argue with me on my claim, but this is my theory and I'm sticking to
it until otherwise proven wrong (proven as in giving me proof and a credible
and intellegent argument. The Musou Wine and Dim Sum thing is right though.

3. Characters
-------------

There are 48 characters in DW5. Six of these characters are making their
debut as being playable. This section will have a brief history of the
character, their move set, a list of weapons they have, the list of stages in
which they appear in, and which moves are the best for which situation. They
are listed as they appear on the menu in the game. The history section is
based on the Romance of the Three Kingdom’s novel. Just for the record, I
don’t have the entire RoTK book memorized, so the history sections may be
either wrong/brief/not good/combo of all three. Also, the way they are listed
on the menu is based on which game they first appeared in.

For the move set section, S refers to square and T refers to triangle. Both
the ST and SSSST attacks send enemies into the air, allowing you to hit them
more times as they come down. An SST attack is called a charge rush and the
move’s effect depends on how often you tap the T button. The more times you
press the T button, the more times the first part of the attack happens
before the second part of the attack occurs. A (T) means that triangle can
be pressed for additional effects. For first charge attacks (C1), I have
classified them as the following:

Element Projectile: Character shoots out an orb that explodes after a short
period of time. The element in front of the word projectile indicates which
element the orb has.
Dash: Character dashes ahead with a certain type of attack.
Taunt: A move that is similar to the taunt moves in DW4. Character poses
while a blast of white energy surround the character and damages all who is
around him. I finally found a good use for this: taking generals off of
horses. That’s about the only good use for them.
Special: A special type of move that fits into no other categories.

For jump charges, I have classified them as the following:

Projectile: Character shoots out a whirlwind type projectile.
Multi-hit: Character knocks the enemies into the air and proceeds to hit
them multiple times in the air.
Stomp: Character dives towards the ground and stomps the ground, sending out
a shockwave.
Moving: Character does move in mid air that covers a lot of distance
Double: Character has an attack that consists of two separate motions and
attacks.
Special: A special type of move that fits into no other categories

would constantly lose in battle due to a lack of strategy. His final defeat
would be at Xia Pi, where he would be defeated by Cao Cao and Liu Bei. Lu Bu
offered to join Cao Cao, but after having a reputation for betrayal, he would
be beheaded.

3f. My Tier List
-----------------

Here is my tier list and my reasons:

Top Tier: Whoever you play the best with
Second Tier: Whoever you kind of play the best with
Third Tier: Whoever you sometimes play the best with
Bottom Tier: Whoever you really don't like the play as

In all seriousness, it's based solely on your opinions and the opinions of
others. The best characters are not set in stone because it's based on your
playing style. Yes, we all know that Lu Bu is a god with unholy range that
shouldn't be allowed in any game and yes we all know that Ma Chao is the best
on a horse (Honestly, stop using him on a horse already! Do you even know
what his Charge 5 is without scrolling back up to see his moveset?), but
overall, your best character is who you can play the best as.

I know that there are some characters better than others, but it's based more
on who you like to play and who you think is the best. After all, the
current tier list is completely based off the opinions of other people and is
constantly changing with each new opinion. There will never be a set tier
list and even if someone claims that the tier list is set in stone, it won't
ever be right because opinions are never right. Are you going to let a bunch
of people tell you who's good and who's not good? God I hope not.

What do I have against tier lists? Nothing against the tier lists really,
even if they are pointless. However, I find the debates about them and the
people who make them equally pointless. Do I believe in tiers? Yes. Do I
think that you can define them? Nope. It's all based on how you play and how
good you are. Do I think I'm going to stop tier lists from being formed? No.
Do I care? Nope. I could care less if you think that making a tier list is
on the top tier of things you want to do with this game, but it doesn't mean
that I have to agree.

So why did I make this section? Well...other than the intended insults I was
going to throw at people (I deleted them because of tastefulness), it's here
to prove that the only opinion that matters is that of your own. I basically
blast Xing Cai as the worst character in the game every chance I get, but if
you think she is the best character, by all means, don't let my opinion stop
you from thinking that way. After all, it's just my opinion that Xing Cai is
horrible. There are only two main facts that you should remember when playing
Dynasty Warriors 5:

1. You should base the game off of your own skills and opinions.
2. Da Qiao's Charge 5 can juggle with a heavy weapon, no matter how many
people says it can't.

Okay...so maybe all you need to remember is fact 1, but fact 2 is still very
useful.

4. Stage Walkthroughs
---------------------

This section is filled with each stage, tips on beating each stage, and the
locations of Dim Sum and Musou Wine. The Musou Wines are in pots in the
listed locations. The Dim Sums are obtained by defeating the generals
listed. A quick note about Musou Wine and Dim Sum: Musou Wine and Dim Sum
normally give out +10, but if you play a five star stage, it will become +20.
Also, if you play a four star stage on hard mode (which basically makes it
a five star stage), you will also get a +20.

Battle of Xi Liang: 180 A.D.
Dong Zhuo forces vs. Yellow Turbans

Musou Wine: Northeast corner of the map, near the stronghold
Dim Sum Dong Zhuo’s forces: Defeat Zhang Liang
Dim Sum Yellow Turbans: None (I played the stage three times and waited
forever just to make sure that no reinforcements came out with a Dim Sum, I'm
fairly sure that there is none)

Dong Zhuo’s forces: Your blocked by two sorceries to start off the stage.
One is a rolling log, which blocks your path completely, and the second is a
rockslide, which is just annoying. Defeating Cheng Yuanzhi will cause the
rockslide to create a bridge for you to get to the northern part of the
stage. After this Zhang Bao creates the phantom army. Defeat Zhang Bao to
stop these illusions. Defeat Zhang Jiao to end the stage.

Yellow Turbans: Protect Zhang Liang and Zhang Bao so they may pull off their
magic on Dong Zhuo’s forces. The only other major concern here is Ma Chao,
as he ambushes in the northeast corner. Defeat Dong Zhuo to end the stage.

Battle of Ji Province: 180 A.D.
Yuan Shao’s forces vs. Yellow Turbans

Musou Wine: Right of the center altar
Dim Sum Yuan Shao’s forces: Defeat Zhang Bao
Dim Sum Yellow Turbans: Defeat Yuan Xi

Yuan Shao’s forces: The tornado can be a problem, but just avoid getting hit
by it. Reach the altar to stop the tornado. Defeat anyone in the vicinity
of the altar just to take out your anger for the creation of the damn thing.
Defeat Zhang Jiao to end the stage.

Yellow Turbans: Take the center altar by defeating the defense captain
there. Getting Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang to join Zhang Jiao on the altar
makes the tornados really powerful and can be a real help when defeating the
rest of Yuan Shao’s army. Defeat Yuan Shao to end the stage.

Battle of Liang Province: 181 A.D.
Dong Zhuo’s forces vs. Allied forces (Ma Teng’s forces)

Musou Wine: Near the northeastern base
Dim Sum Dong Zhuo’s forces: Defeat Pang De
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Hua Xiong

Dong Zhuo’s forces: Defeating the southwestern base and the northeastern
base prevents reinforcements from showing up for the opponents. Also,
protecting the south and east checkpoints allows you to get reinforcements.
Ma Chao and Pang De are the only two generals on the map that can give you
problems. Defeat Ma Teng to end the stage.

Allied forces: Taking out the southwestern base and the northeastern base
will allow you to get reinforcements. Also, taking out the south and east
checkpoints will prevent reinforcements for your opponents. However, when
Dong Zhuo appears on the map, reinforcements will appear in the southwestern
base and the northeastern base, whether you’ve taken them or not. Defeat
Dong Zhuo to end the stage.

Struggle for Nan Zhong: 182 A.D.
Meng Huo’s forces vs. Allied forces (tribal leaders)

Musou Wine: Northwest corner
Dim Sum Meng Huo's forces: Defeat Yong Kai

Meng Huo’s forces: The first objective is to defeat King Duosi, King Mulu,
and Wu Tugu. Defeating Kin Duosi is straight forward. King Mulu has
elephants and tigers to help him out. Wu Tugu has armor units on his side.
After these three are defeated, your conditions change. Yong Kai, Gao Ding,
and Zhu Bao appear on the map and challenge you to a fight. Watch out for
your main camp, as that is what these three head straight for. Defeat Yong
Kai, Gao Ding, and Zhu Bao to complete the stage.

Battle of Nan Zhong: 183 A.D.
Yellow Turbans vs. Nanman forces

Musou Wine: Southwest checkpoint near Zhu Rong's starting spot
Dim Sum Yellow Turbans: Defeat Ahui Nan
Dim Sum Nanman forces: Defeat Bo Zhang

Yellow Turbans: In this battle, you must spread the will of heaven on to the
Nanman disbelivers. First, take out King Duosi. During or after your fight
with the Nanman general, Zhang Jiao will purify the swamps so that you don't
take anymore damage from the poison. The damage wasn't that great anyways,
but it does convert some of the Nanman forces over to your camp. After this,
you can either go take out Wu Tugu in the northwest or King Mulu in the
south. Wu Tugu has the armor troops with him and King Mulu has his beast
units. Neither one is really hard and Zhang Jiao helps out a little with
a little magic from the heavens. Once more Nanman are converted to the Way
of Peace, it's time to take on the great king of the Nanman himself. Take
out his lovely wife first and then deal with the great king Meng Huo.
Defeat Meng huo to end the stage.

Nanman forces: Not only do you have to worry about Meng Huo dying, but you
also have to worry about the respect of the Nanman forces. If you lose
too much respect, you will lose the level. Start off by taking out Zhang
Jiao and Pei Yuan Shao. This can be a little difficult because of how
many people are surrounding you and how little help you get. Next, Zhang
Jiao starts brainwashing your units to fight against you. You have to save
Wu Tugu and King Mulu quickly or respect will be lost. You can save them by
defeating Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang respectively. After this, Zhang Jiao
will purify your poison swamps, which will also lead to a converting of your
troops. Defeat Bo Zhang to get your people back. Once you get close to
Zhang Jiao, he will whip out his newest and latest trick: teleporting
people into your main camp, namely Guan Hai. You can defeat Guan Hai before
Zhang Jiao completes his teleportation spell to save you the headache, but
odds are, you're going to have to go back to your main base and take out
the headache. Either that, or just show Zhang Jiao the small flaw in his
plan when he sent off his only help and support halfway across China and
bash his brains in. Defeat Zhang Jiao to end the stage.

The Yellow Turban Rebellion: 184 A.D.
Han forces vs. Yellow Turbans

Musou Wine: At the half circle that He Yi starts at
Dim Sum Han forces: Defeat Zhang Liang
Dim Sum Yellow Turbans: Defeat He Jin

Han forces: Zhang Jiao and company have a few old and new tricks up their
sleeves for the Han forces. Depending on where you start off at, head
towards the closest Zhang you can find. Each one has their own unique spell
they cast. Zhang Bao has his traditional drop rocks on Liu Bei spell.
Zhang Liang creates a tornado to harass Cao Cao's forces. Zhang Man Chang,
who is not a Zhang brother but obviously wants to be the fourth member, has
the ability to brainwash Sun Jian and his generals into fighting against
you. All of them are annoying and all of them can be a pain in the butt.
However, the Zhang trio tend to fall really easily once you get past their
spells, so it shouldn't be a problem taking out all three. After the
three-fourths of the spellcasting Zhangs are defeated, head towards Zhang
Jiao. If you want, you can stop by He Yi and defeat him. Once you enter
Zhang Jiao's fort, he casts his nifty phantom army attack that he aquired in
DW4. Like in DW4, this can be stopped by destroying the shining objects
on the altar. This time, they fall in one hit, so it's easier. Once you
are done destroying the phantoms, head up the stairs to face off with
Zhang Jiao, who is in hyper cutscene double attack and musou rage when near
death mode, but is still really easy to take out. Defeat Zhang Jiao to
end the stage.

Yellow Turbans: Your main defense and way of surviving in this battle is by
taking control of your enemy and showing them that Heaven is the way to go.
You want to start off by helping the altars. Yes, Zhang Man Chang is closer
and yes dropping boulders on people sounds a lot more fun than standing on
an altar chanting, but it's the easiest way to get the enemies off your back
(if you can't beat them, make them join you). First, head to Zhang Liang's
altar and convert Sun Jian's forces to the Way of Peace. This should be
really fast and easy and no one should really attack the altar. Then, rush
over to Zhang Bao and make a believer out of Cao Cao. Zhang Bao's altar
should be under more attack, but this one should be easy to defend as well.
Once you have increased your forces, head to Zhang Man Chang and defeat
Gongsun Yue to drop rocks on Gongsun Zan's head. Once this is completed,
defeat Gongsun Zan and Liu Bei. Head towards He Jin. This should trigger
Dong Zhuo showing up. Luckily, he decided to leave Lu Bu at home. Your
conditions change once Dong Zhuo shows up. The only way you can finish the
stage is to defeat all the main enemy generals. Take out He Jin and Dong
Zhuo to end the stage.

Battle of Si Shui Gate: 191 A.D.
Allied forces vs. Dong Zhuo’s forces

Musou Wine: Near the northeast gate
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Niu Fu
Dim Sum Dong Zhuo's forces: Defeat Yuan Shu

Allied forces: When the stage starts, you're either starting off at the
southern part of the map if you're part of Sun Jian's forces or you're
starting off at the east if you're part of Liu Bei's forces. Either way
your first goal is to fight your way to Yuan Shu and the northeast defense
base so you can clear the supply line to Sun Jian. Just take out any
generals that get in your way until you reach that defense base. Once Sun
Jian and Liu Bei meet up in the center, it's time to head west towards Si
Shui Gate. Li Jue is there to greet you, but he falls easily. Once you
get near Si Shui Gate, Lu Bu shows up. Lu Bu in this game is not as hard
as he was in other games. He doesn't have his annoying grab from DW4. He
didn't even get his everyone clear out stomp that he had in DW3. However,
he still is Lu Bu and he still is strong and he can still kill you if you're
not careful and get caught in one of his combos. The goal here is to not
let Lu Bu get a clear shot at you. Block his attacks until he leaves an
opening and then exploit it. Lu Bu is in hyper double attack musou rage when
near death don't want to die mode, so be careful. If you try to avoid him
and go around him to Hua Xiong, he'll just follow you and protect his leader.
To make matters worse, Li Ru also ambushes you to the south and tends to
head straight for Yuan Shao. He's not a big factor normally, but he does
have the ability to run through your generals when paired up with Lu Bu.
Either kill Lu Bu or have him be occupied with your allies and then take out
Hua Xiong. Defeat Hua Xiong to end the stage.

Battle of Hu Lao Gate: 191 A.D.
Allied forces vs. Dong Zhuo’s forces

Musou Wine: Near the checkpoint on the path to the northwest castle wall
(the path used to go around Hu Lao Gate near Zhang Liao)
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Fan Chou
Dim Sum Dong Zhuo's forces: Defeat Jian Yong

Allied forces: If you start off as Cao Cao or his forces, you're the first
one on the map and you're going to get ambushed by Li Ru and Li Su. If
you're part of Sun Jian's forces, you start off at the center near Niu Fu.
If you're Liu Bei or one of his officers, you start off on the eastern path
and close to Xu Rong. If you're Yuan Shao, you start off in the main camp.
Either way, work your way towards the center of the map and then head
northwest from there to Hu Lao Gate. Defeat the enemies outside of Hu Lao
Gate before you defeat the guard captain that is defending the gate. Once
the guard captain has been defeated, Hu Lao Gate opens and everyone's
favorite overpowered, annoying general, Lu Bu, shows up. You can either
fight him here or you can use the pathway northeast of Hu Lao Gate to go
around Lu Bu. Zhang Liao guards this path, but he's easy to get rid of.
Once inside, if you defeat all of Dong Zhuo's sub generals, Dong Zhuo asks
for Lu Bu to stand by his side. I think that Dong Zhuo also asks for help
if you damage him too much. Either way, once this happens, it actually
makes Lu Bu easier to kill, as long as you prevent him from reaching Dong
Zhuo. He stops attacking and just runs to Dong Zhuo, so if you can
constantly attack him and knock him down and prevent him from getting to
Dong Zhuo, he becomes an easier kill. Also, there is an ambush from behind
lead by Fan Chou, but this isn't very important and Dong Zhuo's normally
almost dead when this occurs. Defeat Dong Zhuo to end the stage.

Dong Zhuo's forces: First, defeat the sub generals around Hu Lao gate.
There should be one from each major faction (Yuan Shao doesn't count...ever).
Once the threat on Hu Lao Gate is over, Liu Bei tends to try to rush Hu
Lao Gate. If one of his generals gets into the castle, your moral lowers,
so defeat him quickly. Also prevent any other generals from getting into
the castle. Once Liu Bei and his brothers are defeated, head south and
finish off Cao Cao. Next, head towards the center of the map and defeat
Gongsun Zan and Sun Jian. Make your way towards Yuan Shao. Wen Chou and
Yan Liang should appear on the map when you get close to Yuan Shao. One
should attack Hu Lao Gate and the other should defend Yuan Shao. Defeat
these two minor annoyances. Defeat Yuan Shao to end the stage.

Battle of Chang Shan: 192 A.D.
Yuan Shao’s forces vs. Gongsun Zan’s forces

Musou Wine: Southwest corner of the map
Dim Sun Yuan Shao's forces: Defeat Yu Du

Yuan Shao's forces: Start off by heading northward. Lu Bu should get
ambushed. If you're Yuan Shao, help out Lu Bu by defeating Zhang Ran to
regain Lu Bu's trust. If you're Lu Bu, defeat Zhang Ran and then continue
heading towards the castle to regain Yuan Shao's trust. Either way, enter
the castle and defeat Liu Bei and his brothers. Defeat Zhao Yun, who's
defending one of the gates and make your way towards Gongsun Zan. Defeat
Gongsun Zan to end the stage.

Battle of Jing Province: 192 A.D.
Sun Jian’s forces vs. Liu Biao’s forces

Musou Wine: West of the attack base
Dim Sum Sun Jian's forces: Defeat Huang Zu

Sun Jian's forces: First, make your way towards the castle, taking
strongholds along the way. Once you are near the castle, Sun Jian should get
ambushed and defeated. Sun Ce becomes the new commander. Once this happens,
head towards Huang Zu and defeat him and Zhang Hu. Make your way into the
castle and towards Liu Biao. If you take too long in defeating Liu Biao,
he will receive reinforcements int he form of Chen Sheng and Su Fei, so
defeat these two if they show up. Defeat Liu Biao to end the stage.

Battle of the Wu Territory: 197 A.D.
Sun Ce’s forces vs. Allied forces (Wu territory leaders)

Musou Wine: Inside Wang Lang's fort south of the checkpoint
Dim Sum Sun Ce's forces: Defeat Yu Mi
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Sun Quan

Sun Ce's forces: Whichever fort you start off near, take that fort by
defeating all three enemy generals inside of it. Sun Quan should start
making his way towards the eastern fort. He will get ambushed inside that
fort. Once he does, head to that fort and fight your way into it. Defeat
the general that ambushes Sun Quan and Yu Mi, who goes from Liu Yong's castle
to attack the ambushed Sun Quan. This should rescue Sun Quan and give your
forces a moral boost. After this, capture the second fort if you haven't
already and head towards the southern fort. By this time, Liu Yong should
have already retreated, so you're left to face Taishi Ci. He's in hyper,
double attack and musou rage when near death mode, but he shouldn't have too
much life and be too hard. Defeat Taishi Ci to end the stage.

Allied forces: The first thing you should do is ride around and defeat a
couple of generals in the immediate area. Try to stay close to the eastern
fort, as that's where Sun Quan is going to get ambushed. Once your general
says some nasty things about Sun Quan's mother, father, dog, and second
cousin, he should make his way to the eastern fort and get ambushed. Zhou
Tai, the loyal servant that he is, will try to make his way to Sun Quan
and rescue him. Defeat Sun Quan and Zhou Tai, then head towards the
southwest corner of the map. This is where the southern fort should be
getting attacked the most from. Once you have defeated all generals in this
area, defeat Zhou Yu and Sun Shang Xiang in the center of the map. Once all
the generals except for Sun Ce are defeated, Sun Ce will charge out and try
to challenge you. Defeat Sun Ce to end the stage.

Battle of Wan Castle: 197 A.D.
Cao Cao’s forces vs. Zhang Xiu’s forces

Musou Wine: Northeast corner of the map, near where Cao Cao starts
Dim Sum: Defeat Zhang Xiu

Cao Cao's forces: First, defeat all soldiers near Cao Cao. This should
get Cao Cao heading south. Hu Che Er should ambush Cao Cao once you reached
the southeast part of the map. Defeat him and his soldiers to get Cao Cao
moving again. Once Cao Cao starts moving again, he should get ambushed by
Jia Xiu next. Defeat him and his soldiers and allow Cao Cao to escape
through the northwest gate. Now, the fun begins. Zhang Xiu will send
soldiers and task forces out to get Cao Cao. The soldiers are not important.
The task leaders are. Defeat the task leaders before they get through the
gate. If you let too many through, you lose the stage. Eventually, Zhang
Xiu might come after you himself, but he's easy to defeat. Allow Cao Cao
to escape to end the stage.

Battle of Xia Pi: 198 A.D.
Cao Cao’s forces vs. Lu Bu’s forces

Musou Wine: Near the centermost southern checkpoint
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Zhang Liao
Dim Sum Lu Bu's forces: Defeat Xiahou Yuan

Cao Cao's forces: Your main goal is to defeat Gao Shun and cause the water
attack. Head north towards Zang Ba and defeat him. Then follow the path
towards Zhang Liao. Ignore him for now and head towards Gao Shun. Defeat
him to cause the water attack that floods most of Xia Pi castle. Now,
defeat Zhang Liao, then enter Xia Pi castle. Everyone but Diao Chan should
defect to your forces. This will also prevent Yuan Shu from showing up and
helping Lu Bu. Defeat Diao Chan (Why does she have a cut scene with
Xiahou Yuan? Is there honestly a point to that at all???) and then defeat
Lu Bu's sub general. You can either defeat Lu Bu or do enough damage to him
to make him retreat. Defeat Lu Bu or let him get caught by his own soldiers
to end the stage.

Lu Bu's forces: The water attack has already happened, so you start the
stage screwed. You have Liu Bei and his brother's hanging out at the
southern portion of the map and Xiahou Yuan and Xiahou Dun at the western
part of the map trying to kill off your generals. Head towards Xiahou Yuan
and Xiahou Dun and defeat them along with their sub generals. Then head
towards Xia Pi's southern gate, defeating Liu Bei's generals along the way.
Once all of the generals are defeated, Cao Cao should show up in the north.
Also, your northern gate should open up, so you can use that to get to Cao
Cao. Defeat Cao Cao to end the stage.

Battle of Guan Du: 200 A.D.
Cao Cao’s forces vs. Yuan Shao’s forces

Musou Wine: Inside Wu Chao supply depot
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Chunyu Qiong
Dim Sum Yuan Shao's forces: Defeat Liu Yan

Cao Cao's forces: Your first target should be Yan Liang. You can let him
die to Guan Yu, but what fun is that? Just rush him and kill him before
Guan Yu disposes of him. This should cause Guan Yu to head north instead of
sticking around to deal with Wen Chou. This will also cause him to take his
leave of the battlefield and cause Liu Bei to head northwards. Of course,
it's no fun to just let Liu Bei leave either, so take him and Jian Yong out.
While you're at it, take out Yuan Shang. Now, just make your way west,
taking out strongholds and generals along your way. Eventually, Wu Chao
supply depot should open up. Run inside Wu Chao and defeat the drunk Chungyu
Qiong (he was drunk in the novel when Wu Chao went up in smoke). With Yuan
Shao's moral offically in the trashcan, Zhang He should defect. Now, head
towards Guan Du castle and defeat any generals who could possibly be
attacking it. Also, make short work of the siege towers. Zhen Ji should be
the hardest general attacking the castle, but she should be no trouble at
all. Once the castle is safe, it's time to finish off the Yuan family once
and for all. Head to the northwest fort and take on Yuan Shao. Defeat Yuan
Shao to end the stage.

Yuan Shao's forces: Your first target should be Guan Yu. Prevent him from
getting to Yan Liang. Saving Yan Liang saves moral and keeps a strong
ally on the board. Once Guan Yu is defeated, take out Bai Ma castle (it's
the eastern fort). Once you have secured your position, you can either work
your way west and take strongholds and defeat generals or you can help out
your siege towers. Even if you lose one set of siege towers, you have plenty
more sets (I believe you have five sets of siege towers). When you're ready
to set siege on Guan Du castle, head south to the castle gates and defeat
Cao Pi and Li Dian. If you have defeated every main general on the board
besides Cao Cao, the side doors should open up before the front doors
collapse. Enter through the side and run through Cao Cao's sub generals.
Defeat Cao Cao to end the stage.

Guan Yu’s Escape: 200 A.D.
Guan Yu’s forces vs. Cao Cao’s forces

Musou Wine: In front of the third gate
Dim Sum Guan Yu's forces: Defeat Xiahou Dun
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Zhou Cang

Guan Yu's forces: This stage is pretty straight forward. Just head south
and defeat anyone who stands in your way. Zhang Liao will be your first
opponent. After that, it's just easy non playable generals until you get
to Xu Huang. Xu Huang is also pretty easy. While you're heading south, make
sure the carriage doesn't get destroyed. If it takes too much damage, you'll
receive messages saying it's taking damage. The last gate will not open
until you have defeated Xiahou Dun, so go back and take him out. He is the
hardest general on the map, but even then, he's not much. Let the carriage
reach the escape point to end the stage.

Cao Cao's forces: If you have the Red Hare Saddle, you can end this stage
quickly by just rushing Guan Yu. However, that's no fun, so just go through
the generals one by one. The carriage really doesn't run that fast, so
track it down and destroy it. That will stop you from losing the stage
when it reaches the escape point. Zhao Yu and Guan Ping try to hinder your
path to Guan Yu, but they fall easily. Guan Yu is a different story. He
is the strongest general on the map, but he shouldn't be that difficult.
He is in hyper mode, but other than that, he's an easy kill. Defeat Guan Yu
to end the stage.

The Trials of Sun Ce: 200 A.D.
Sun Ce’s forces vs. Yu Ji’s forces

Musou Wine: North of the eastern checkpoint
Dim Sum Sun Ce's forces: I believe Sun Jian or Da Qiao drops one, but I am
not 100% sure.

Sun Ce's forces: Your goal is to defeat Yu Ji 187 times. Okay, not really
that many times, but it will feel like it. First, defeat the one Yu Ji that
shows up. Once he is defeated, he will bring out four more phantom Yu Ji's.
Defeat them. Now he will summon four more phantom Yu Ji's along with phantom
soldiers. Ignore the phatom soldiers (you can't damage them anyways) and
focus on the Yu Ji's. Once they are defeated, he will start sending your
own soldiers against you. Get up to 50 kills and he will summon a phantom
Da Qiao and a phantom Sun Jian to attack you. Defeat those two to get even
more Yu Ji's to show up. I think there are a total of eight of them, but
there could be even more. After you defeat three of them, they get a whole
lot of stamina. Even worse, they shoot projectiles at you. The ice
projectiles freeze more often than not. The lightning projectiles dizzy.
Try your best to avoid these projectiles, as they are really annoying. The
real Yu Ji is in hyper mode and has double the health that the fake Yu Ji's
have. Defeat all the fake Yu Ji's to make your duel with the real one
easier. Defeat the real Yu Ji to end the stage.

Battle of Xia Kou: 208 A.D.
Sun Quan’s forces vs. Huang Zu’s forces

Musou Wine: Center checkpoint on the eastern side
Dim Sum Sun Quan's forces: Defeat Gan Ning
Dim Sum Huang Zu's forces: Defeat Ling Tong

Sun Quan's forces: Your goal is to fight your way to the center. If you're
starting on the eastern side, clear out all the generals on that side until
Taishi Ci starts moving, then make your way to the center. Defeating Cai Mao
will prevent him from launching the ships and attacking Sun Quan directly.
Once Cai Mao is gone, it's time to face Gan Ning. He's in hyper cut scene
thinks he's a badass don't want to die speed and attack double and musou rage
when near death mode, so be careful. He can kill you in one hit with an
attack up, musou rage, and his musou attack, so be double careful when he
turns yellow. Once Gan Ning is dead, everyone else is easy. Just make your
way to the center fort in the north, defeat anyone else who is on the map,
and enter the fort. Defeat Huang Zu to end the stage.

Huang Zu's forces: Your first goal is to protect the ships. You might want
to defeat Ling Tong before you defeat Ling Cao, as Ling Tong goes into hyper
mode once Ling Cao dies. Finish off Zhou Tai while you're there. Once that
side is cleared off, head north and protect Huang Zu's fort. This will also
send Chen Jiu to protect Cai Mao. After everyone around Huang Zu's fort is
defeated, head down the eastern side and take out Taishi Ci and Zhou Yu.
Once everyone is defeated, Cai Mao is able to launch the ships (which kind of
defeats the point of it all, as there really isn't anyone left to fight).
Defeat Sun Quan to end the stage.

Battle of Chang Ban: 208 A.D.
Liu Bei’s forces vs. Cao Cao’s forces

Musou Wine: Near the southeastern checkpoint
Dim Sum Liu Bei's forces: Defeat Yu Jin
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Guan Yu

Liu Bei's forces: Your goal is to help Liu Bei escape the clutches of Cao
Cao. You first goal is to wipe out most of the troops to the north, which
is Xiahou Dun, Yue Jin, and their sub generals. Don't worry too much about
getting the one base that Zhuge Liang talks about. Normally your people are
the first ones to that base anyways. Head towards Chang Ban Bridge and
defeat Xiahou Dun. Make your way west and take out Yue Jin and his sub
general Xiahou En. Head south and take out Li Dian and his sub general. By
this time, Cao Hong should have went all the way around and is now attacking
the middle stronghold, so defeat him and all soldiers around it to let Liu
Bei through. Cao Cao should be sending more troops at you, so head towards
the northeastern strong hold and defeat all generals there. Then head around
towards Xu Huang and defeat him. Use the western route again to head south.
By this time, Jia Xiu should be on the map in the southeast, so head towards
him and defeat his two sub generals along with him. By this time, Liu Qi
should have shown up and Liu Bei should be moving towards the southeastern
area. Cao Cao should also appear in the northwest. You an either follow Liu
Bei towards the escape point or you can head north and defeat Cao Cao.
Defeat Cao Cao or allow Liu Bei to escape to end the stage.

Cao Cao's forces: Whatever you do, do not let Liu Bei escape. You can help
yourself out a great deal by taking some of the neutral strongholds to the
south, especially the center stronghold on the southern path. You don't have
to do this, but it makes chasing down Liu Bei a lot easier. After you get
the stronghold, head back north. Zhang Fei should be in hyper mode at the
bridge and Zhao Yun should be in hyper mode trying to get back to Liu Bei.
Zhang Fei only stays in hyper mode while he's on the bridge and heads off the
bridge once Zhao Yun has been defeated, so head towards Zhao Yun first and
take him out. Then, you can take out Zhang Fei no problem. Clear out the
top half of the map of Liu Bei's generals and then begin your chase of Liu
Bei. When Liu Bei reaches the southwestern corner of the map, Guan Yu shows
up. Defeat him and his sub general. Zhuge Liang should also be in the area,
so defeat him as well. When Liu Qi shows up, Liu Bei will make a mad dash
towards the escape point and will not stop to fight anyone or anything except
for the stronghold that gets in his way. If you didn't take the stronghold,
your best chance for getting him is by killing him while you're on a horse
(or using a really fast character). Defeat Liu Bei to end the stage.

Battle of Chi Bi: 208 A.D.
Allied forces (Sun Quan and Liu Bei’s forces) vs. Cao Cao’s forces

Musou Wine: In between the big center ship that has a stronghold on it and
the eastern bridge
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Cai Mao
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Dong Xi

Allied forces: Depending on where you are at on the map, either clear out
the western or eastern side of the map of sub generals and then head for the
eastern bridge. That should be the first bridge you take down. Defeat the
sub general on that bridge and any sub generals in the area and make your way
towards Cao Hong. Defeat Cao Hong and ignore Xiahou Yuan for the moment.
Defeat Cai Mao on the western bridge to send that one falling. Once both
bridges have collapsed, Cao Cao will chain his ships. Now, defeat Xiahou
Yuan's other sub general if you haven't already and head towards Zhang Liao.
Defeat his two sub generals if you haven't already and defeat Zhang Liao. By
the time you have defeated Zhang Liao, Huang Gai should have already started
preparations for the fire attack, which causes Xiahou Yuan to start moving
towards Huang Gai. He should be in your area, so take him out. The west
side should be completely clear of generals and Zhuge Liang and Huang Gai
should be safe to start the wind and the fire attack. Go to the eastern
part of the map and take out Zhen Ji and her sub generals. Head north and
face off with Cao Pi and Cao Xiu. The fire attack should have happened. You
can either take out Cao Zhen and Jia Xiu if you want or you can go straight
to Cao Cao and face him. Defeat Cao Cao to end the stage.

Cao Cao's forces: Almost immediately after the stage starts, the bridges
should fall. I don't think there is any way to prevent this. The first
person you should aim to take out is Pang Tong. Once he is defeated, start
to take out Zhou Yu's sub generals. They should be in the area around Pang
Tong. Then take out Zhou Yu. By this time, Zhuge Liang should start making
his way towards the altar. Defeat Pan Zhang and then take out Zhuge Liang to
stop the wind summoning. Now, Huang Gai should be making his way towards the
fire ship. Catch Huang Gai before he can get to the ship and defeat him. He
is in hyper mode, but he's not that hard to defeat. Once he is gone, the
fire attack is completely prevented and the allied forces lose lots of moral.
Defeat Zhou Tai's sub generals and then defeat Zhou Tai himself. This will
most likely cause Sun Quan to finally show up, along with reinforcements near
the center stronghold on the western path. Defeat the rest of the generals
on the map and then aim for Sun Quan. Defeat Sun Quan to end the stage.

Escape from Chi Bi: 208 A.D.
Allied forces (Sun Quan and Liu Bei's forces) vs. Cao Cao’s forces

Musou Wine: South of the broken bridge in the center of the map
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Xiahou Dun
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Sun Quan

Allied forces: You start off the map chasing Cao Cao. Guan Yu should let
Cao Cao go, so head north and east and face off with Cao Ren. Defeat him and
his two sub generals. Xiahou Dun should make the bridge fall and Cao Cao
should take a quick breather, so head east. Zhang Liao and his sub generals
should be your next target. Finish them off and head north and then west
again. Cao Cao should be on the move again, so chase after him. Now, we
begin the whole master thing, in which everyone shows up wanting the master.
Jia Xiu will show up as reinforcement and should fight you while you're
dueling Xiahou Dun. Defeat Xiahou Dun and Jia Xiu and head back east and
south. Cao Zhang should show up near the center checkpoint on the eastern
path. Defeat him and his sub general. Cao Hong should show up as
reinforcements on Sun Quan's ship. Take him out and head back north to Cao
Cao. Xiahou Yuan should be protecting Cao Cao. Defeat him. Now, you can
either wait for Xun Yu to show up and create an escape point for Cao Cao
(your forces should have him so badly surrounded by now that he can't
escape at all) or you can just fight Cao Cao and finish things off. Defeat
Cao Cao to end the stage.

Cao Cao's forces: See Cao Cao, this is why you shouldn't chase people all
through Chang Ban. You never know when the tables will be turned on you and
you become the one who is running. Protect Cao Cao as he travels north and
gets ambushed by everyone along the way. Cheng Pu is your first opponent.
Defeat him and his sub general. Han Dang should ambush you from behind, so
take him out before he does any harm. Your next opponent should be Zhu Zhi
and his sub general, who ambush you as Cao Cao heads east. Once they are
defeated, Cao Cao will head north. He will say something about there not
being any ambushes at the clearing, which you know will lead to another
ambush. Zhao Yun shows up, so defeat him and his sub general. The next
person to get in your way is Zhang Fei. He will ambush you as you are
heading west. Defeat him and then continue on your way west. When you hit
the fork in the road, Guan Ping will show up. Defeat him and continue your
advance north. Sun Quan will appear now with a bunch of sub generals all
over the map. You can chase down the sub generals if you want, or you can
just rush Sun Quan and get him out of the way. Sun Quan shows up in the
southeastern corner of the map. Defeat him and then head back up to where
Cao Cao is. Guan Yu should appear, but he will let Cao Cao through without
any problems. Liu Bei, on the other hand, refuses to do so. Defeat his
sub generals and then defeat Liu Bei to clear the path for the escape. Allow
Cao Cao to escape to complete the stage.

Battle of Tong Gate: 211 A.D.
Cao Cao’s forces vs. Allied forces (Ma Chao’s and Pang De’s forces)

Musou Wine: Southeast of Tong Gate
Dim Sum Cao Cao's forces: Defeat Ma Dai
Dim Sum Allied forces: Defeat Xu Zhu

Cao Cao's forces: This can be a hard map because you have both Pang De and
Ma Chao in hyper cut scene refuse to die heal themselves musou rage when near
death mode. Your first target is Tong Gate and Ma Chao. Ma Chao should be
aiming directly for Cao Cao, so defeat him first. Pang De for the most part
will stay put in front of Tong Gate and Han Sui won't be any factor at all,
so defeat Ma Chao first. He's tough and he has archers with him, so be
careful. Ma Dai should also get in the way, but if you kill him before you
get close to Ma Chao, you shouldn't have any problems. Defeat Ma Chao and
make your way towards Tong Gate. Pang De is here and he is also surrounded
by archers. It's going to feel like DW3's Yi Ling near Sun Quan's base,
except for the fact that arrows don't hurt as badly, but they're still
annoying, especially when you're fighting an overpowered enemy. Take out
Pang De. Once those two generals are gone, the rest should be easy. Head
through Tong Gate to occupy it and give your forces a moral boost and finish
off any generals that may be left on the stage. There should be a few around
Han Sui, but they are all easy. To complete the stage, Ma Chao, Pang De,
and Han Sui all have to die. Since you've already taken out Ma Chao and Pang
De, there is only one person left. Defeat Han Sui to complete the stage.

Allied forces: Cao Cao will attack Tong Gate from two sides, so it's best
to get rid of one side first. Clear out the front of Tong Gate of Xiahou
Yuan and whoever else is there. Xu Zhu will stand in your way and protect
Cao Cao. He is in hyper mode, but will not go into musou rage mode, which is
a good thing, considering the fact that his musou plus a musou rage will
probably kill you in one hit. Defeat Xu Zhu and chase after Cao Cao. Cao
Cao will realize the fight is not going well and will try to get Han Sui to
defect. Xu Huang will also show up as reinforcements and start attacking
from the north. I have yet to figure out a way to stop Han Sui's defection,
so I don't know if you can stop it or not. When Han Sui defects, a bunch of
your generals will run away, leaving pretty much Ma Chao and Pang De against
everyone. Make Han Sui pay for his treason by defeating him. Cao Ren will
show up as reinforcements in the northwest, so take him out as well. Defeat
Xu Huang, Jia Xiu, and anyone else who is left on the map. Defeat Cao Cao
to end the stage.

Battle of Cheng Du: 214 A.D.
Liu Bei’s forces vs. Liu Zhang’s forces

Musou Wine: Inside Cheng Du castle near Liu Zhang's initial position
Dim Sum Liu Bei's forces: Defeat Meng Da

Liu Bei's forces: Odds are, you're starting off close to Luo Castle. If
not, make your way towards there. This should be your starting point. Make
your way into the castle and start beating up on Liu Xun's sub generals.
Once they are all gone, defeat Liu Xun. I don't know exactly when this
happens or what causes it, but there tends to be an ambush party east of Luo
Castle. Defeat them as well and make your way into the forest. Take out Yan
Yan, Zhang Yi, and whoever else is inside the forest and head towards Zhang
Ran. Odds are, you should have done all this before Pang Tong dies, but if
he does get ambushed and killed, it's no big deal. Defeat Zhang Ran and
enter the outer part of Cheng Du castle. Defeat Meng Da, who is hiding
inside the castle. The inner part of the castle where Liu Zhang is hiding
will not open up until the castle is completely surrounded, so open all the
gates and defeat Li Yan if he is still alive. There should be no generals
or sub generals left on the map. Once Cheng Du is completely surrounded, the
inner part of the castle will open up and you will face off with Liu Zhang.
Defeat Liu Zhang to end the stage.

Battle of He Fei: 215 A.D.
Wei forces vs. Wu forces

Musou Wine: Along the western river east of the northwestern stronghold
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Sun Shao
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Cao Hong

Wei forces: Finally, we are officially into the Three Kingdoms Era. Like in
DW3's He Fei, you should make your way towards the center and occupy it.
Take all enemy strongholds here and defeat Pan Zhang and his forces. Wu will
start to make there way towards your castle. To make Zhang Liao ambush Sun
Quan, you must prevent any Wu generals from getting to close to the
northwest castle. After Pan Zhang, Lu Meng is the one who gets the closest
to the castle, so defeat him and his sub generals next. Zhang Liao should
ambush Sun Quan, which causes most of the Wu generals to retreat.
Apparently, Zhu Zhi never heard Sun Quan request the retreat and still tries
to attack. Head to the northeast corner and defeat Zhu Zhi's sub generals,
Taishi Ci's sub generals, and Zhu Zhi. By this time, Gan Ning should ambush
the Wei forces east of Cao Cao's castle. Head towards him and face off with
Gan Ning. Gan Ning is in hyper don't want to die attack increases and musou
rages when near death mode, so watch out. His musou really hurts when he
musou rages, so watch out. Defeat him and make your way towards Sun Quan.
Defeat all the officers around Sun Quan, including Taishi Ci. Defeat Sun
Quan to end the stage.

Wu forces: First, you should head towards the center and clear out Pang De
and his troops. You should also defeat the reinforcements that arrive to
help out Pang De. Next, head north and take out Li Dian, who is hiding in a
fort. Also, defeat the northern reinforcements that show up. By this time,
Zhang Liao should destroy Xian Shi bridge and ambush Sun Quan. Head towards
Zhang Liao and defeat him. He is in hyper mode, but he only doubles up his
attack and won't go into musou rage. Once he retreats, head to the
southwestern corner of the map and defeat Xu Huang. Also, take the
checkpoint there. There is a reason for this. Head to the northeastern
corner of the map. Xiahou Dun should ambush this area, along with Cao Hong
and Zhang Liao. Defeat Zhang Liao first and then chase after the other two
and defeat them. They should head down the eastern road and try to get to
Sun Quan that way. Make your way towards the southwestern corner. By this
time, the only generals that should be left on the map are Cao Cao and his
sub generals. Your allies can deal with Cao Cao's sub generals easily.
Zhang Liao will appear in the southwestern corner next, but if you take that
checkpoint down there, he won't be able to make his way towards Sun Quan,
which means you have less chasing to do. Defeat Zhang Liao and third time
and head north. Zhang Liao will appear a fourth time west of Cao Cao's
castle. Gan Ning should also show up on the stage, but by this time, his
help isn't really needed. Defeat Zhang Liao when he shows up again. Defeat
Cao Cao to end the stage.

The Invasion of Nan Zhong: 215 A.D.
Wu forces vs. Nanman forces

Musou Wine: Near the checkpoint west of the center stronghold
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Zhu Rong
Dim Sum Nanman forces: Defeat Zhu Ran

Wu forces: First, you want to clear out the center. Defeat Dong Tu Ne and
Ahui Nan. Your next target should be Jinhuan Sanjie. After this, defeat
Zhu Rong and take out the southern stronghold. Charge into Meng Huo's main
camp and defeat Meng You. Meng Huo should appear along the eastern path
and your main camp should get ambushed. Head towards the center bridge and
defeat the task captain. This will prevent your bridge from being destroyed
and prevent enemy reinforcements from showing up. Defeat the enemy ambushes
in the east and west of your main camp and then make your way towards Meng
Huo. Watch out for the elephants and tigers that show up with the ambushes.
Defeat Meng Huo to end the stage.

Nanman forces: Your first goal is to take out anyone in the center area. Lu
Xun should be the toughest person in the center area. If you get close to
the bridge, it should collapse and cause your moral to go up, so make the
bridge fall. By this time, Sun Shang Xiang should be making her way south,
so take her out. Your forces should have ambushed the main camp by now, so
use the path they opened up to get to Sun Quan. Defeat Sun Quan to end the
stage.

Battle of Mt. Ding Jun: 219 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wei forces

Musou Wine: Near the checkpoint east of the center stronghold
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Xiahou De
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Huang Zhong

Shu forces: Your first goal is to occupy Mt. Tian Dang by defeating Xiahou
De and his sub general. You don't have to worry about the stronghold up
there. Once the mountain is occupied, charge down the mountain towards
Xiahou Yuan. He is in hyper cut scene don't want to die heal and defense up
not to mention a musou rage when near death mode, so be careful. A lot of
the other Wei generals like to get in the way when you're fighting him.
Also, being the skilled archer that he is, he is surrounded by archers as
well. Defeating him is no fun, but it can be done. Once he is gone, your
next target should be Zhang He. Defeat him and then start taking out the
rest of the Wei forces until Cao Cao arrives. After he arrives, just finish
off the remaining generals. Defeat Cao Cao to end the stage.

Wei forces: What you want to do is to try to get rid of everyone around
Huang Zhong before he charges down the mountain. This makes life easier.
First, head towards the southern path and take out Zhao Yun's sub generals.
Also, take out the attack base that is there. Defeat Zhao Yun and Guan Ping.
This should cause Huang Zhong to send some of his generals after Xiahou Yuan.
Defeat them and then head towards Wei Yan. Take him out and charge up the
mountain. Defeat Yan Yan before chasing after Huang Zhong. Huang Zhong is
in hyper don't want to die even though he's 90 heals and all that other good
stuff and musou rages when near death mode, so be careful. He is also
surrounded by a healthy amount of archers, so musou rage yourself if you have
one. Once he is defeated, Liu Bei charges up the center mountain. Defeat
Liu Bei to end the stage.

Battle of Fan Castle: 219 A.D.
Allied forces (Wei and Wu) vs. Shu forces

Musou Wine: Inside Fan Castle near Cao Ren's initial position
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Guan Ping
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Guan Xing
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Pang De

Wei forces: Your first goal is to stop Guan Ping's water attack. Head
towards the northern path and take out any generals along the way. When you
reach Guan Ping, he is in hyper mode, but he's not too terribly hard. Meng
Da will try to save Guan Ping, but by the time he gets there, Guan Ping
should have bit the dust. Defeat Meng Da for being late and then head
towards the southeastern corner of the map. Xu Huang should have arrived as
reinforcements by now and should be running through the Shu forces like a man
possessed. Defeat whoever he doesn't and make your way to the southwestern
fort. Defeat Fu Shi Ren and Mi Heng, who are outside the fort. Zhang Bao
and Zhang Fei should arrive as reinforcements. Zhang Fei is in hyper mode.
Guan Yu is in that special hyper mode where he gets to introduce himself and
make your life so wonderful by refusing to die and glowing yellow with musou
rage when near death, so have fun. Wu should show up as reinforcements, but
by the time they do, the battle is pretty much already won. Defeat Guan Yu
to end the stage.

Wu forces: The water attack has already happened, so you don't have to worry
about that. Pang De is defending his castle pretty well, so you don't really
have to worry about Cao Ren dying as long as you kill people in a quick
manner. Defeat anyone who is around Fan Castle like Guan Xing and Liao Hua
to make sure Cao Ren stays alive and then head towards the center stronghold
near where Guan Ping is. Defeat Guan Ping. By this time, Lu Meng should
have said to attack Mi Heng and Fu Shi Ren. If you leave Guan Ping alive
while you are converting these two, he will kill them both pretty fast.
Since you really don't want to lose moral, it's a good idea to take out Guan
Ping first. Getting Fu Shi Ren and Mi Heng's life down to about 75% will
cause them to defect to your side. Now, the only general left on the field
should be Guan Yu and anyone around him. There are two reinforcements that
arrive at the southwestern castle. The first one is Liu Feng. The second
one is Zhang Fei and Zhang Bao. Defeat them both before they become too much
of a problem and then take out Guan Yu. Just like for Wei, Guan Yu is in
hyper refusal to die and all that good stuff along with musou rage mode, so
be careful. Defeat Guan Yu to end the stage.

Shu forces: The first thing you should do is to make sure the water attack
happens. To do this, defeat Niu Jin and Yu Jin. These are the only two
generals that tend to attack Guan Ping. Now, begin taking out the Wei
generals. Most of them should be easy. Once the water attack hits, Pang De
will block your path to Fan Castle. He is in hyper attack up musou rage when
near death mode, so be careful. His musou hurts when he's in musou rage.
Also, Xu Huang will show up as reinforcements. I normally take out Xu Huang
first and Pang De second. Once they are defeated, your forces should have
taken out most of the generals in the southwest. Also, by this time, the
map should be cleared of all Wei generals except for Cao Ren. You can either
defeat Cao Ren now and just end the stage or wait for Lu Meng to show up.
Once Lu Meng shows up, Guan Yu will die if you're not playing him or will get
pissed off at Lu Meng if you are playing him. This will add Lu Meng to the
requirements to completing the stage. Also, Mi Heng and Fu Shi Ren will
defect to Wu's forces and cause all sorts of problems. Defeat any Wu
generals that show up and punish the defecters. You should take out Lu Xun
before you fight Lu Meng. Lu Xun can be annoying if you're aiming for Lu
Meng first. After Lu Xun is defeated, take out Lu Meng and then head inside
Fan Castle. Cao Ren should be pretty much screwed as he should have no
troops of his own and surrounded by a sea of green. Defeat Cao Ren to finish
the stage.

Battle of Yi Ling: 222 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wu forces

Musou Wine: Close to the southwestern exit inside the Stone Sentinal Maze
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Gan Ning
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Zhuge Liang

Shu forces: I believe most everyone for Shu starts off close to the western
route. I don't think anyone starts off in the eastern route, but I could be
wrong. Either way, make your way up the western route and start taking out
generals. After you've run through Han Dang and Ding Feng's forces, head
straight for Zhu Ran. By the time you get near him, he should lay down the
bridge and start making his way towards the fire attack site. Ignore Gan
Ning and Ling Tong. Allow Zhu Ran to cross the bridge, as he will be hard to
catch if he's near Gan Ning and Ling Tong. He will run past his protectors
and be an easy kill if he's past the bridge. Defeat him to stop the fire
attack. Both Gan Ning and Ling Tong are in hyper mode, but they shouldn't be
too much of a problem. After this, make your way towards Lu Xun. Defeat
Sun Shang Xiang and Lu Xun. Sun Quan should order an ambush, but don't worry
about them. They are too far away to do much of anything. Defeat Sun Quan
to end the stage.

Wu forces: Depending on which way you start, make your way towards the
center by whatever route you are on. Try to clear out as many units as
possible before the fire attack. Zhao Yun should be the biggest threat in
the west while Ma Chao is the biggest threat in the east. Once Zhu Ran lays
down the bridge, head straight for him. He tends to die if you're not around
him, even if no enemies are also around him. Once he gets to the fire attack
point, Lu Xun will set the Shu camp on fire and the enemy will retreat.
Defeat any generals that didn't go inside the Stone Sentinal Maze and then
make your own way through the maze. A real easy way of getting through the
maze is by taking the western entrance to the maze. Take the first left when
you are in the maze and continue along that path. You should come across a
pot containing a Musou Wine. Take the next path right just after the Musou
Wine. This should lead you out of the maze and into Liu Bei's camp. Defeat
his sub generals and wait for Zhuge Liang to show up. Once he does, defeat
him and whoever else he brings with him and then focus your attack on Liu
Bei. Defeat Liu Bei to end the stage.

Conquest of Nan Zhong: 225 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Nanman forces

Musou Wine: Entry point in the west near where Wei Yan starts
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Wu Tugu
Dim Sum Nanman forces: Defeat Wei Yan

Shu forces: This is probably my most favorite map. You first goal is to
stop the beast units. To do this, take the attack base that is stopping Yue
Ying from deploying her juggernauts. After the beast units are gone, defeat
King Mulu. Meng Huo should appear from the hidden path. Defeat him for the
first time. Also, you might want to make both of the hidden paths in the
north appear, as it will help out a lot. To make the one in the northwest
appear, enter the path south of the northwestern base. To make the one in
the northeast appear, enter the path close to where Ahui Nan and Dong Tu Ne
are. Once these two paths are found, defeat Ahui Nan and Dong Tu Ne. Meng
Huo should appear again, so defeat him for a second time. Now, to get across
the poison swamp, head towards the attack base northeast of the poison swamp
and take it. This will cause bridges to form in the swamp, which allows you
to get across. By now, Meng Huo will have appeared again in the northwest
corner of the map near Ma Su, so defeat him for a third time. Head south
towards Jinhuan Sanjie and defeat him. This is where Meng Huo shows up a
fourth time and loses a fourth time. Now, Wu Tugu should appear with his
armor troops, but they're easy to defeat and so is he. Defeat him before
the armor troops defeat the task leaders. You don't really need to use the
pots to defeat the armor troops, but it's always nice to make a few of them
blow up. Meng Huo pops up here for a fifth time, so take him out as well.
This will cause Zhu Rong to use the southern hidden path to start attacking
you. Defeat Zhu Rong and discover the southern hidden path to make moving
throughout the stage even easier. I don't remember when Meng Huo shows up
for the sixth time, but where ever he does, defeat him. Charge his main camp
and he'll show up for a seventh and final time. Defeat Meng Huo to end the
stage.

Nanman forces: First, you start off near Wei Yan and Ma Dai. Defeat them
and make your way towards Wu Tugu. Defeat the two sub generals in that area.
Zhuge Liang should send his exploding pots after you. Honestly, why
exploding pots? Did someone at KOEI ask, "What's the most harmless item in
the game that we can try to turn into the most badass weapon in the game?"
Oh well. Defeat the task masters controlling the pots before Wu Tugu gets
defeated (it's really got to suck to be defeated by a pot...) and then make
your way towards Huang Zhong. Defeat him and Yan Yan. Jinhuan Sanjie should
get ambushed by the juggernauts. There are seven juggernauts in the area.
Defeat them to before they defeat Jinhuan Sanjie to prevent one of your
allies from defecting. Also, be sure to take out Yue Ying for inventing
those blasted things. Ma Chao should ambush the northwestern corner, so
take him out as well. Defeat any Nanman generals who defected and make your
way to Zhuge Liang. Defeat Zhuge Liang to end the stage.

Battle of Tian Shui: 227 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wei forces

Musou Wine: Southeast corner of An Ding Castle
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Liang Xu
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Zhao Yun

Shu forces: Your first goal is to take both of the "castles" before Jiang
Wei invades the main camp. I normally take out Nan An Castle first. Xiahou
Mao is the leader of Nan An Castle and Cui Liang is the leader of An Ding
Castle. Defeat these two to take control of the castles. Whichever castle
leader you defeated first will get let go by Zhuge Liang and tell Ma Zun that
Jiang Wei has defected. Once both castles are taken, Jiang Wei will make his
way back to Tian Shui castle. Defeat him before he can get back. You can
normally catch him around the eastern stronghold. He is in hyper cut scene
will musou rage when near death mode, so be careful. Once he is defeated,
Ma Zun will assume that Jiang Wei has defected and start to make a run for
it. He tends to retreat pretty quickly, so ignore any of his generals and
just take him out. If he retreats, you lose the stage. Defeat Ma Zun to
end the stage.

Wei forces: Your first goal is to save both castles to the south. To save
them, defeat the Shu generals around them and then occupy the checkpoints.
Once you save one castle, a fake Jiang Wei will show up in front of Tian
Shui castle. Ma Zun will become suspicious of Jiang Wei. Defeat the fake
Jiang Wei to regain Ma Zun's trust. Defend whichever castle is still under
attack. Now that Zhuge Liang's plan has failed, it's time to go after him.
Defeat any other Shu officers that are left and then enter the southern fort.
Defeat Zhuge Liang to end the stage.

Battle of Jie Ting: 228 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wei forces

Musou Wine: Near the center checkpoint
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Cao Zhen
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Wang Ping

Shu forces: Ma Su ends up being an idiot and getting ambush pretty quickly.
It's your job to save him from his own stupidity. First, you should take out
the center area. Defeat Fei Yao and Cao Zhen and their sub generals. Also,
take the checkpoint in that area. That should give Ma Su a little time and
cause Sima Yi to send troops to retake the center. This should allow you to
start working on Zhang He's ambush. Defeat his sub general and defeat Zhang
He to prevent Ma Su from dying. Head back to the mountain foot and defeat
Sima Yi's sub general along with Xu Huang. Also, take out Wang Lang. Once
Most of the Wei forces are defeated, Cao Pi will show up. Defeat Sima Yi
and Zhen Ji and then head towards the northeast corner of the map. Defeat
Cao Pi to end the stage.

Wei forces: Your goal is to get Ma Su completely surrounded. Defeat Gao
Xiang, his sub general, and the checkpoint he's near to secure the mountain
foot. Once they are defeated, make your way towards Zhang Bao and defeat
him. Your next target should be Wang Ping. Defeat him and his sub general,
but don't take out the checkpoint yet. Jiang Wei should be making his way to
save Ma Su. Defeat him before he can get there. He is in hyper mode, but
shouldn't be too hard. Take the checkpoint and to completely surround Ma Su.
Head up the mountain and take out Ma Su's sub generals. Defeat Ma Su for
being an idiot. Once Ma Su has been defeated, you must wait for the rest
of the Shu forces to show up. Make your way towards the southeastern corner
of the map and defeat Ma Dai. Wei Yan should show up as reinforcements
there, so defeat him when he shows up. Xing Cai will show up in the
southwestern corner of the map next, so defeat her. Ma Chao will show up
in the center of the soutern route. Head towards him and defeat him.
Finally, Zhuge Liang will show up at the southwestern corner of the map.
Defeat Zhuge Liang to end the stage.

Battle of Chen Cang: 229 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wei forces

Musou Wine: Southeast corner of Chen Cang Castle
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Cao Ren
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Jiang Wei

Shu forces: This would be a nice epic siege battle if it wasn't for the fact
that you can just run up the eastern side of the map and completely take out
the Wei defenses. Your first goal is to take out any Wei officers who are
outside the castle. This should be mostly Zhang He and Cao Ren's sub
generals. Then head up the eastern side of the map. Sima Yi will say that
he knew you would come that way (so did I, big deal, I knew I was going that
way before you did, does it make me smarter than you?) and send ambush
parties at you, along with archers that shoot fire arrows. Take out the
checkpoint that is there and ignore most of the ambush parties. Enter the
castle and take out most of Zhang He's sub generals who are still inside the
castle. Defeat Zhang He and then head towards Cao Ren. Defeat him before
you defeat the defense captains. Cao Ren goes into hyper mode when all the
defense captains are defeated, so you can make your life easier by defeating
him first. Defeat the defense captains to destroy the siege weapons on top
of the castle. Now, make your way towards Hao Zhao. Defeat him and then
defeat the defense captain controlling the big spinny thing guarding the
gate there. Now, start taking out some of the ambushes that are attacking
your strongholds. There shouldn't be too many enemies behind your lines, but
they can get annoying if you don't deal with them. Once they are gone, head
towards Sima Yi and defeat any generals in your way. Defeat Sima Yi to end
the stage.

Wei forces: First, you want to make your way towards the eastern route.
Defeat Wang Ping and Wei Yan to protect your backside. Use the eastern route
to head towards the defense strongholds. Take the defense strongholds to
stop the flow of siege weapons at your castle. Also, defeat the sub generals
that are in front of Chen Cang castle. There are quite a few of them there.
Yue Ying should show up as reinforcements for the enemy. Take all three
defense strongholds and then start taking out the main generals. Defeat
Huang Zhong, Jiang Wei, and Yue Ying. This will cause Zhuge Liang to show up
with even more siege weapons. Ignore these siege weapons too and just aim
for the generals. Head towards the eastern route again and defeat the
reinforcements there, then head towards Zhuge Liang and face off with him.
Defeat Zhuge Liang to end the stage.

Battle of He Fei Castle: 234 A.D.
Wei forces vs. Wu forces

Musou Wine: Southwest corner of the map near the entry point
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Taishi Ci
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Sun Li

Wei forces: First, you want to fight your way towards the soutern gate.
Whichever way you take, defeat the generals on that side of the map. Once
you reach the southern gate, defeat Lu Xun's sub generals and take out the
first ram. This will lead up to an ambush on the eastern side. Sun Quan's
navy will show up with more generals and another ram. Defeat the second ram
and then defeat Jiang Qin. If he's still alive, also take out Pan Zhang.
Sun Shao should ambush Cao Pi in the north. Run towards your main camp and
defeat Sun Shao if he's not already defeated. Once all the ambush troops are
gone, your forces start making their way towards Sun Quan. Defeat whoever is
left on the map, including Lu Xun and make your way towards the southeastern
corner of the map. Zhou Tai is here protecting Sun Quan. Defeat him and
Sun Quan's two sub generals. Defeat Sun Quan to end the stage.

Wu forces: Your first goal is to work your way around to the center of He
Fei castle. Defeat Xu Huang's sub generals first and then defeat Xu Huang
himself. Make your way up one of the sides of He Fei Castle and defeat all
the generals in your way. Once inside the castle, defeat Cao Ren and stop
the catapults from throwing rocks at your forces. I don't know what causes
Sima Yi to try to set your navy on fire, but I've only seen him do it once.
You might want to stop this because it causes Zhen Ji to go around the castle
and head directly for Sun Quan and it's really annoying to have to protect
him, as for some reason he is really weak. Anyways, if Sima Yi sets your
navy on fire, protect Sun Quan. If he doesn't, head north and take out Xu
Zhu and try to defeat Zhen Ji before she starts along the western path.
Defeat Sima Yi for having a bad voice actor and then finally face off with
Cao Pi. Defeat Cao Pi to end the stage.

Battle of Bai Di Castle: 234 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wu forces

Musou Wine: In the triangular area in the southwest, where the houses are
and where the peasants ambush Sun Quan's forces, north of a house and along
the wall
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Huang Gai
Dim Sum Wu forces: Defeat Jian Yong

Shu forces: You want to clear off your side of the castle. It depends on
who you are and where you are at. You want to make your way towards the
center of the map where the peasants ambush Sun Quan's forces. You want to
defeat Zhou Tai before Ma Chao starts attacking Sun Quan. Zhou Tai goes into
hyper mode when Sun Quan gets into trouble, so defeat him early. When you
get near the peasants, they should be saved and go protect Bai Di castle.
Ma Chao also should go and protect the castle. Now, if you started in the
north. head towards Huang Gai and defeat him. If you started in the south,
head north to the Stone Sentinal Maze and defeat Lu Xun. Defeat whoever is
left on the map. Gan Ning should lead an ambush party in the southeast
corner of the map. Defeat him before he gets too close to the castle. Also,
some more generals should appear close to the southwestern part of the map.
Defeat all the generals except for Sun Quan. When your troops get too close
to Sun Quan in the northwest, he should vanish and reappear in the southwest.
Defeat Sun Quan to end the stage.

Wu forces: Depending on where you are at, your first objective is to take
the center. Don't get too close to Xing Cai because she is protected with a
few arbalests. Take out her sub generals though and then make your way to
Huang Zhong. When he calls out Huang Gai, defeat Huang Zhong before Huang
Gai can reach him. If Huang Gai gets too close to Huang Zhong, Huang Zhong
starts a rockslide attack. Once Huang Zhong is defeated, Ma Chao should be
ambushing Sun Quan. Ma Chao is in hyper don't want to die justice is with
him so he gets an attack up and musou rage when near death mode. Defeat him
and then resume your attack on the castle. You want to either clear out the
north or the south. If you head north, you have to deal with another Stone
Sentinal Maze. This one is easier. Make your way towards the center of the
maze until you see a message that says a strange statue has been found. Hit
the gold statue to cause the guardians of the maze to show up. Defeat all
the soldiers to cause all the doors to open up. Then, get behind the
arbalest and take out Jiang Wei. If you head towards the southern route,
just make your way towards the back of the castle and defeat anyone who gets
in your way. Either way you go, once you're inside the castle, get behind
the arbalests and take them out. If you can, try to use attacks that will
hit both an arbalest and whatever sub general is trying to get in your way.
Take out all the arbalests inside the castle. Yue Ying should have shown
up as reinforcements. Defeat her and then head towards Xing Cai. Defeat the
arbalest that is protecting the southern door and then stay behind the next
arbalest while you're fighting Xing Cai. She's in hyper mode, so that just
means she takes longer to kill. Once she is defeated, take out any generals
that are left on the field and then face off with Liu Chan. Defeat Liu Chan
to end the stage.

Battle of Wu Zhang Plains: 234 A.D.
Shu forces vs. Wei forces

Musou Wine: Along the river west of the center hill where the arbalests
show up
Dim Sum Shu forces: Defeat Xu Zhu
Dim Sum Wei forces: Defeat Wei Yan

Shu forces: Once the stage starts, make your way towards the the wall
protecting the Wei forces and defeat all the sub generals outside of the
wall. Do not enter any of the strongholds protecting the wall. Also, do not
take both of the attack bases just yet. Take one and then defeat all six
sub generals hanging out outside the wall. Once they are defeated, take the
other attack base. This will cause Cao Rui and Cao Xiu to come out. Defeat
Cao Rui and then make your way through the western supply base. Deng Ai
should appear on the map as soon as you defeat Cao Rui, so blast through the
supply base as fast as you can. If Deng Ai sets up the catapults, he goes
into hyper mode. If you can get him before he sets up the catapults, not
only is he easier, but it also gives Shu a nice moral boost. If he does set
up the catapults, no problem. Just defeat him to stop them. Zhong Hui
should show up along the eastern path and make his way pretty far along.
Stop him before he gets too close to Jiang Wei. Now, all that's left is all
the Wei generals past the wall of supply bases. Defeat Zhen Ji, Cao Ren,
and Xu Zhu and then make your way up towards Sima Yi. Xiahou Ba will throw
rocks at you while Sima Zhao will ambush you with bomb tossers. Defeat them
both to stop their respective attacks and then head towards Sima Yi. Sima Yi
has two sub generals, one on each side. Defeat them both. Defeat Sima Yi to
end the stage.

Wei forces: First, you should start off by taking out Wei Yan's sub
generals. Also, take out the two attack bases in the center of the map.
When Zhong Hui appears, a sub general under Wang Ping will ambush him. Save
Zhong Hui to get the catapults to start up. Defeat Ma Dai and Wei Yan, who
should be attacking your wall by now and then head towards Wang Ping. Defeat
him to get Zhuge Liang to die. Now, take out Liao Hua and his sub general
and make your way towards the eastern route. Take out Yue Ying's sub
generals and then take out the defense captain who is sending the wood ox
towards the center of the map. Head south and you'll see the most fearsome
siege weapon in the history of DW: exploding pots. Take out the task
leaders who are controling the pots and then defeat Yue Ying. There are also
some juggernauts in the area, so be careful of them. Unlike the exploding
pots, the juggernauts are actually dangerous. Jian Yong should have shown up
in the northwest. Defeat him and head towards the arbalests. They are on
top of the center hill. There are a few soldiers up here, along with archer
towers and juggernauts, but don't worry about them. Just worry about
breaking the ten or so arbalests. Once they are all stopped, head towards
Jiang Wei. Inside Jiang Wei's fort, there are a lot of archer towers and a
few juggernauts here as well. Lure Jiang Wei's sub general out of the fort
and defeat him. Then, lure Jiang Wei out of the fort. This way, you don't
have to deal with the archers or juggernauts. Defeat Jiang Wei to end the
stage.

5. Fourth Weapons
-----------------

Fourth weapons are some of the strongest, if not the strongest, weapons in
the game. They can only be obtained by completing certain tasks on hard
mode. Each character has his or her own tasks in which he or she must
complete. They can be gotten in free or musou modes. These weapons are not
only powerful and not only come with a lot of good stats on them, but they
also have the added bonus of dropping a musou rage token every 100 kills.
This not only makes these weapons powerful, but godly.

This section will list the weapons, the stats on the weapons, what stage the
requirements must be done on, what side you must be on, the location of the
precious item box, the requirements, my personal strategies in how to get
them, and how difficult I thought the weapon was to get based on a 1 to 10
scale, with 1 being the easiest and 10 being the most difficult. Just to
compare the numbers to previous weapons in previous installments of the DW
series, a 1 would be the DW4 Edit Rapier level 10 weapon (because it’s
extremely hard to kill two generals on the very first stage of the game...oh
wait no it’s not) and a 10 would be Sima Yi’s fifth weapon in DW3:XL (kill
three overpowered playable generals in under 9 minutes while surrounded by
massive amounts of archers and enemies with a really weak character...the
person who created that must have been on drugs or really hated his fan
base). And for the record, I thought Diao Chan’s fifth weapon was easier
than Sima Yi’s fifth. Less time equals less chance for a mistake and there
were also less archers and enemies to disrupt your attack and break your
guard. That’s enough about that. It’s not like there’s any weapons in DW5
that compares to them anyways. Weapons are based on having one player only
and are not based on any two player tricks, as I was never a big fan of those
to begin with (personal preference). Besides, these weapons are some of the
easiest weapons to get in the history of DW and every single one of them can
be gotten right after completing the musou mode with a character (and some of
them with a fresh character).

And one final note: This section is incomplete until I actually get all the
weapons (I have more than half). I’ll still list requirements and such, but
I won’t have my own methods on getting them.

---------------
5a. Shu Weapons
---------------

Zhao Yun

Weapon: Fierce Dragon
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge Attack: 16
Attack: 17
Defense: 17
Musou: 17
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Cheng Du, Liu Bei’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Liu Xun and open Luo castle’s east, west, and north
gates within five minutes.

Location: Inside Luo Castle south of the north gate

My Method: You start off near the east gate. Defeat Liu Xun’s sub general,
which is guarding the east gate. That opens the first gate and let’s you in.
Now, defeat the other two sub generals in your way. All that’s left is Liu
Xun. Take him out and claim Luo Castle for Shu. The final part to getting
the weapon is to open the other two gates, which is just simply defeating the
gate captains in front of them. The weapon will appear if you did this all
in five minutes (which is really easy, considering none of the generals put
up a fight). To complete the stage, you must get Cheng Du’s main gate to
open up. The easiest way to do this is to eliminate Yan Yan, the gate
captain guarding the east gate, and all the enemies in the forest to allow
your allies easy access to the east gate of Cheng Du. You don’t have to save
Pang Tong if you don’t want to, but it’s always nice to help a fellow Shu
general. However, life would be easier if you did, so take out Zhang Ran
anytime that you can. It also clears up the north gate, so remember to take
out the gate captain guarding that gate. You can do this from the outside or
the inside if you want. That just leaves Li Yan protecting the south gate.
Take out the south gate and Li Yan and any stragglers left from the southern
ambush party and you should get the message that Cheng Du is surrounded. Liu
Zhang refuses to give up without a fight, so be humble guests and provide him
with one. Remember to pick up your weapon before you finish the stage.

My Ranking: 1 – Easy stage, really easy requirements, very lax time limit.
Completing the stage takes longer than getting the weapon.

Guan Yu

Weapon: Blue Moon Dragon
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Light
Charge: 16
Horse: 16
Defense: 17
Attack: 18
Life: 18

Stage: Battle of Fan Castle, Shu forces

Requirements: Defeat Niu Jin and Yue Jin before the water attack and allow
the water attack to be successful

Location: Southern wall of Fan Castle

My Method: First, go to Niu Jin. Both of the required generals are sub
generals under Cao Ren. He should be close to the water attack site, so he
should be the first one to die. He is not a hard general to defeat, so take
him out with ease. The next general is Yue Jin, who should be close to Niu
Jin, but not close enough to get into the battle and make things two on one.
He is also relatively easy, so take him out next. This should protect the
water attack site, as Guan Ping is very capable of taking care of himself
against regular soldiers. Now, you can either go play with Pang De or take
out bases and other generals, your choice. Pang De is the strongest general
on the map, so you might want some time to take him out. There is a way to
let him get caught in the flood, but it might be more hassle than it’s worth.
He should be easy if you have a Fire Orb equipped, as Guan Yu can just Charge
3 him to death, as it juggles really nicely. You can always go after Xu
Huang too, as he appears as reinforcements. The flood attack should happen
while you’re fighting Pang De or Xu Huang, which makes your weapon appear.
After you defeat Pang De, grab your weapon from the south wall of Fan Castle.
Now, once you have your weapon, you have two choices: rush Cao Ren or kill
off everyone on the map. It is possible to get rid of all Wei generals
before Wu even shows up, even with Xu Huang in hyper mode. I actually
normally defeat Xu Huang before Pang De. However, once Wu does show up, your
victory conditions change from defeat Cao Ren to defeat Cao Ren and Lu Meng.
Lu Meng, in my humble opinion, is a lot harder than Cao Ren, so you might not
want to mess with him, but it’s always fun to fight harder generals. The
rest of the Wu army is simple, as the only other playable general is Lu Xun
and he’s not much of a problem. Cao Ren shouldn’t be that much of a problem,
as he has limited forces at his disposal due to the flood attack and often
gets surrounded by your army.

My Ranking: 3 – Pang De ups the rank a notch.

Zhang Fei

Weapon: Viper Blade
Base Attack: 39
Weight: Light
Fill: 16
Horse: 16
Defense: 15
Attack: 19
Musou: 17

Stage: Battle of Chang Ban, Liu Bei’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Wen Pin, Xiahou Dun, and Xiahou En without allowing
them to cross the Chang Ban Bridge

Location: On Chang Ban Bridge (the bridge you start on)

My Method: First, go straight and target Wen Pin. There’s a couple of
archers in the area, but nothing too hard to hard to manage. Defeat Wen Pin.
Xiahou Dun should be in the area, so take him out next. Now, go towards the
small area in the northwest. Xiahou En is in that area, so defeat him. Your
weapon should show up. Instead of grabbing your weapon, take out Yue Jin
next. Head south towards Li Dian and defeat him. Zhuge Liang’s fire attack
should have already happened. The next person you should take out is Cao
Hong. By now, Cao Zhang (I think that’s the right Cao, there’s too many
Caos) and Xu Huang should have ambushed your backside, so head towards the
Chang Ban Bridge. Grab your weapon and defeat Cao Zhang and his sub general.
Next, go around the northern path and towards Xu Huang. Defeat him and his
sub general. Guan Yu’s ambush should appear now along with Jia Xiu. Defeat
Jia Xiu and his sub generals. Clear out all the gates that Jia Xiu created
to clear the way for Liu Bei’s retreat. By the time you have the path
cleared. Liu Bei should be fleeing and Cao Cao should have shown up. You
can either just wait for him the flee or you can head north and defeat Cao
Cao.

My Ranking: 3 – This weapon is almost hard to get.

Zhuge Liang

Weapon: Peacock Feather
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Medium
Charge: 18
Fill: 15
Bow: 15
Defense: 18
Musou: 20

Stage: Battle of Tian Shui, Shu forces

Requirements: Defeat Xiahou Mao and Cui Liang before Jiang Wei takes your
base to get Ma Zun suspicious of Jiang Wei. Then defeat Jiang Wei before he
returns to Tian Shui Castle

Location: Middle of Nan An Castle (eastern castle)

My Method: First, you want to charge Xiahou Mao and Nan An Castle. While
Xiahou Mao may be the true hero of the Three Kingdoms, he is no match for the
wit and tactics of Zhuge Liang. Your next target will be Cui Liang in the
western castle. He should be no problem either. In between the taking of
these two castles, you can make your life a little easier by taking out some
of the other generals like Cao Zhen or Wang Lang, but if you feel rushed or
can’t take out Xiahou Mao fast enough, then don’t worry about them. By now,
Jiang Wei should have taken out two or three Shu generals, but if you’re fast
enough, he won’t get near your base. Once both castles have fallen to you,
Zhuge Liang will set his plan in motion by releasing Xiahou Mao with
information that Jiang Wei has defected to Shu. Once Xiahou Mao has returned
to Ma Zun, Jiang Wei realizes that he has gone too far into Shu territory and
begin his run towards Tian Shui castle. Cut off his path from the north.
You should be able to catch him just before or just after the defense base.
He is in hyper, cut scene, will musou rage you when close to death mode so be
careful. Right before taking him on would be a good time to save. After the
long fight with Jiang Wei, your weapon should appear in Nan An Castle. Also,
your conditions should change as well. Your goal is now to prevent Ma Zun
from escaping. Ma Zun kind of makes a mad dash for the escape point, so it
might be a good idea to go directly after him once you have your weapon. You
can kill one or two more generals if you want (I tend to knock off Xiahou Mao
again, but that’s just because he tends to get in the way). Ma Zun is really
easy to kill, so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

My Ranking: 3 – Jiang Wei is kind of hard, but everything else is easy.

Liu Bei

Weapon: Gold Moon Dragon
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Luck: 20
Horse: 15
Speed: 18
Defense: 18
Musou: 15

Stage: Battle of Yi Ling, Shu Forces

Requirements: Defeat Gan Ning, Ling Tong, Sun Shang Xiang, and Lu Xun

Location:

My Method: You don’t have to stop the fire attack, but it would make life
easier. However, what I like to do on this stage is to first head to Ding
Feng and take out him and his sub general. By the time you get done with
that and get close to Jiang Qin, the bridge laying machine should have done
it’s job and Zhu Ran should be moving towards your supply base. Wait for Zhu
Ran to cross the bridge and get close to your supply base. This is the
easiest place to take him out because he tends to run past his soldiers and
his allies. He should be really easy to defeat. Ling Tong might get in the
way, but he shouldn’t be a major problem. Once the fire attack has failed,
take out Ling Tong and Gan Ning. They’re a little bit powerful, but not
overly powerful. After this, go towards Sun Shang Xiang. She is a sub
general of Sun Quan. After the cut scene, you have to be a bastard and kill
your wife who is running away. Finally, take out Lu Xun. Grab your weapon
and finish the stage like you normally would do.

My Ranking: 3 – Fire attack is a minor annoyance and you have to kill four
playable generals to get the weapon and a fifth one to complete the stage.
Not hard, but not super easy either.

Ma Chao

Weapon: Stallion Fury
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Medium
Horse: 20
Speed: 15
Defense: 16
Attack: 17
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Tong Gate, Allied forces

Requirements: Attack Cao Cao and knock him off of his horse before he
crosses the northern river

Location:

My Method: Make sure you have a horse for this level. Any horse will do.
Start off by going towards Cao Cao’s position. Now, attack Cao Cao. He
should be an easy target. You don’t have to kill him. You just have to
damage him. Now, your weapon has appeared. Is that it? Yes it is. Grab
your weapon, kill everyone you see (there isn’t any hard generals) if you
want, and kill Cao Cao to end the stage.

My Ranking: 0.5 – I was half tempted to give this weapon a negative number
and might do so in a later update, but I decided to be nice.

Huang Zhong

Weapon: Oracle Sword
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Light
Fill: 18
Horse: 15
Bow: 20
Defense: 15
Musou: 15

Stage: Battle of Mt. Ding Jun, Shu forces

Requirements: Defeat Xiahou Yuan within 5 minutes and defeat Zhang He before
Cao Cao appears

Location: Base of the downward slope of Mt. Tian Dang

My Method: You have 5 minutes to defeat Xiahou Yuan. You can rush him or you
can take Mt. Tian Dang and allow some of your allies to help you take out the
overpowered Xiahou Yuan. To take Mt. Tian Dang, you need to defeat Xiahou De.
You don’t have to worry about the supply base or Xiahou De’s sub general, but
I tend to take out the sub general before Xiahou De. Once you have captured
the first mountain, you’ll get a cut scene with Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan.
Now it's time to defeat Xiahou Yuan. Xiahou Yuan is in hyper mode and will
get an attack and defense up after you hurt him a bit. After you almost
killed him, he will go into musou rage. To make matters worse, you’re
surrounded by his peons, he has a lot of archers, Zhang He on occasion likes
to say hi, and Huang Zhong’s specialty isn’t killing generals fast. I juggled
Xiahou Yuan to death with the fire orb, but it’s hard to juggle when you’re
getting arrowed from all sides, even though it is still possible. After
Xiahou Yuan dies fast, you should have plenty of time to defeat Zhang He.
This doesn’t mean slack off, but you don’t have to rush Zhang He’s death.
After all this is done, take out random enemy generals until Cao Cao appears.
Once Cao Cao appears, so will your weapon. Grab it and finish the stage.

My Ranking: 7 – Killing Xiahou Yuan in under 3 minutes is no fun with Huang
Zhong.

Wei Yan

Weapon: Comet Strike
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 16
Luck: 15
Defense: 16
Attack: 18
Musou: 15

Stage: Battle of Chen Cang, Shu Forces

Requirements: Defeat the four defense captains inside the castle within 10
minutes

Location:

My Method: Ten minutes is a lot of time, but don't just stand around and
kill everyone. First, get rid of all of Cao Ren's sub generals standing
outside of the walls to the castle. This will help your ground forces out
and also help the siege weapons do a little damage. Now, head up the western
route. There will be ambushes, but the only thing you should do is seal off
the center gate captain that's along that route. Head inside the castle
and take out a couple of Zhang He's sub generals if you want. Also, if you
want, take out Zhang He. You don't have to, but it will make things easier.
However, before you touch a single defense captain, defeat Cao Ren. If you
take out the defense captains first, Cao Ren goes into hyper mode and becomes
harder to kill and takes longer to kill and in the end, wastes your time.
Since you have a time limit, wasting time is a bad thing. Once Cao Ren is
defeated, kill the three defense captains along the wall to take out the
siege weapons guarding it. Head through the door, take out Sima Yi's sub
general who is guarding the next door, and then run past Hao Zhao. He's not
important. Defeat the defense captain who is standing next to the other door
to break the giant spinny thing protecting the door. If you did this all
within ten minutes, your weapon should appear. Grab your weapon, protect
your backside from the numerous ambushes that Sima Yi sends after you, and
then hunt down Sima Yi and defeat him.

My Ranking: 3 - Not hard. Honestly. Fun stage when you don't charge the
castle, but not hard.

Jiang Wei

Weapon: Blink
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Luck: 15
Speed: 15
Attack: 16
Musou: 18
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Tian Shui, Wei Forces

Requirements: After Ma Zun flees, defeat Gao Xiang

Location: Between the northwest corner and the western walls of the castle

My Method: To get Ma Zun to start fleeing, you must allow your gates to open.
The best way to get the gates to open is to allow the fake Jiang Wei to open
the gates. For the fake Jiang Wei to show up on the stage, you cannot take
both bases (at least I think you can't). You can protect one, so I normally
protect Xiahou Mao because he is the true hero of the Three Kingdoms and
therefore deserves your assistance more than that other guy. Kill off Wei Yan
and anyone inside the fort with Xiahou Mao in it. Kill off everyone else
except Zhao Yun and the other general with Cui Liang. The reason why you
cannot save him is because when you do, Ma Zun orders everyone to charge Zhuge
Liang and I believe this prevents the fake Jiang Wei from showing up. The
fake Jiang Wei shows up after a little time as long as your army isn't
charging the main Shu camp. Once the fake Jiang Wei shows up, ignore him. He
will open up the castle gates and Ma Zun should say something that he’s
running away and then Gao Xiang should show up as reinforcements. Gao Xiang
shows up in the northeast corner of the map. Defeat him, then go towards the
north west corner to get your weapon. You should rush the commander by now.
Zhuge Liang isn’t very hard to defeat.

My Ranking: 2 – Very easy as there is no hard generals to kill.

Pang Tong

Weapon: Tornado Staff
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Medium
Fill: 18
Luck: 15
Bow: 16
Defense: 17
Life: 15

Stage: Conquest of Nan Zhong, Shu Forces

Requirements: Complete the beast units mission, the poison swamp mission,
and the armor troops mission

Location:

My Method: You start off close to the poison swamp. Immediately take out
the attack base. That will allow the poison swamp mission to succeed and
provide a bridge over the swamp. Head north towards King Mulu, defeating
Dong Tu Ne and Ahui Nan along the way for being in the way. Ignore King Mulu
and take out the eastern attack base. This will allow Yue Ying to get
to the beast units and take them out with the juggernauts. That's two
missions down. You can ignore Meng Huo if you want to, but it's always fun
to kill him over and over again. Defeat him and make your way southwards,
activating the two hidden paths to make your life easier. Defeat Meng Huo a
second time and Jinhuan Sanjie. Take Meng Huo down two more times and then
get ready for your final mission. In order to succeed at the armor troops
mission, you have to defeat Wu Tugu before your task leaders die and the
exploding pots stop. You don't have to use the pots to kill anyone, but they
are just there to pretend to be useful. Defeat Wu Tugu quickly and your
weapon should appear. Defeat Meng Huo again, defeat Zhu Rong, defeat Meng
Huo again, claim your weapon, and then defeat Meng Huo...again...

My Ranking: 4 - Not too hard. Long stage, lots of generals to kill, fun for
the entire family.

Yue Ying

Weapon: Oblivion
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Horse: 15
Bow: 16
Defense: 17
Life: 16

Stage: Battle of Wu Zhang Plains, Shu Forces

Requirements: Defeat Deng Ai before he sets up the catapults

Location: On the plateau near the western Wei supply stronghold

My Method: The best way to do this is to defeat the Wei sub generals that
are outside the Wei wall before Deng Ai appears. This will boost your moral
and allow your allies to survive. First, you should take out Guan Hai, who
is right in your face to start off the level. Once he’s defeated, your
supply line should head towards the center. Cao Xiu and Cao Rui should start
attacking your supply line. Cao Xiu, Cao Rui, and Cao Ren all have two sub
generals a piece, so defeat them before taking out a major general. Deng Ai
appears after you defeat a gate captain to a supply base or after the Zhuge
Liang asks the heavens for more time on this earth. Once all the sub generals
are gone, the Cao’s shouldn’t be able to really hurt your line, as their moral
should be low enough to be handled by your allies. Your next target should be
Cao Rui. Once he’s defeated, quickly head towards the western most stronghold
and bust through it. Deng Ai should be easy to kill before the catapults get
set up. Your biggest problem would be Xu Zhu wanting to get in the way, but
if you can catch Deng Ai before he gets near Xu Zhu, then you should be safe
from the big man. Deng Ai only goes into lightning surrounded doesn’t want to
die mode when the catapults are set up, so killing him beforehand makes him
easy. After he’s dead, take out Zhong Hui and Cao Xiu. Now, you have to deal
with the three named generals protecting Sima Yi. Xu Zhu, Cao Ren, and Zhen
Ji are all annoying to defeat and all have their little quirks about them.
Zhen Ji is the easiest, so take her out first. She’s a fast attacker and
tends to attack whenever you leave an opening. Cao Ren is just annoying
because of the simple fact that you can’t knock him out of his first attack
with a regular attack. Try to musou him to death. Xu Zhu is just a
powerhouse in this game. Take advantage of his slow attacking speed by
hitting him before he can hit you. If you get caught in his attacks, it is
going to hurt. After these three are down, grab your weapon. There’s a
rockslide by Xiahou Ba on the western route and an ambush by Sima Zhao on the
eastern route, but both are easy to get past. Sima Zhao actually ambushes
with a few bombardiers, so be careful there. Sima Yi is not in hyper mode in
free mode, but he does have a lot of stamina. If you did this right, you
should have some help.

My Ranking: 6 – Hard because it’s at a higher difficulty. No one person is
really difficult, save for maybe Cao Ren, but he’s easy once you can figure
out how to damage him.

Guan Ping

Weapon: Young Dragon
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Light
Charge: 16
Luck: 15
Bow: 15
Attack: 17
Life: 15

Stage: Escape from Chi Bi, Shu Forces

Requirements: Defeat all main generals

Location: The area that Cao Cao stops the first time (the little nook north
of the fallen bridge)

My Method: You have enough time to defeat all sub generals as well, if you
want. You don’t have to. You can just aim for main generals. Leave your
bodyguard behind so that he or she doesn’t take any of your kills, since you
have to get the kills all by yourself. Cao Ren is the first general in your
path. Clear him out and continue on the path towards Zhang Liao. The bridge
should fall and Cao Cao should stop running by now. Defeat him. Cao Cao
should start moving again. Chase down Cao Cao and head for Xiahou Dun. By
now, all of the Wei forces should be screaming for master (extremely annoying
in my opinion) and start showing up. Jia Xiu should be the first. He should
say hi to you while you’re fighting Xiahou Dun. Also, Cao Cao should stop
moving and wait again. Defeat Xiahou Dun and Jia Xiu. Xiahou Yuan should
have shown up, but ignore him. Head towards where you first fought Zhang
Liao. Cao Zhang I think should be there fighting with Sun Quan’s forces.
Defeat him. Go south towards Sun Quan’s ship. Cao Hong I believe should
either be waiting there or will show up there. Defeat him. Head towards
Xiahou Yuan and Cao Cao. Lure Xiahou Yuan away from Cao Cao and defeat him.
While you are there, defeat Cao Cao’s sub generals to lower his moral and
make things easier for your allies to surround him and prevent his escape
when the escape point shows up. The last general to show up is Xun Yu. He
will show up at the escape point. By now, your forces should have caught up
with Cao Cao and surrounded him, preventing his escape. Defeat Xun Yu, grab
your weapon, and complete the stage by defeating Cao Cao.

My Ranking: 3 – You’d think killing generals before someone runs away would
be harder...

Xing Cai

Weapon: Ambition
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Horse: 15
Speed: 16
Defense: 17
Musou: 17
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Ba Dai Castle, Shu Forces

Requirements: Rescue the peasants, and escort Liu Chan back to the castle

Location: Inside the castle on the west wall

My Method: I don’t know if defeating anyone is a requirement, but I do know
that rescuing the peasants and escorting Liu Chan are required. For Liu Chan
to come out, Xing Cai must take lots of damage. It doesn’t matter what order
you do all of this, but I ended up getting into the red zone while just
trying to defeat generals. You may want to do the Liu Chan thing first, as
you start off near your castle. When you get damaged halfway, Liu Chan will
say something. When you get into critical damage, Liu Chan will say
something again and then start heading for your position. If you are
fighting a general when this happens, finish him off really fast and then
head directly towards Liu Chan. You do not want him outside for too long.
Try to catch him before he runs into any enemy troops. You should get a cut
scene about him and Xing Cai meeting up. If there are no troops around you,
escorting him back into the castle is easy. As for how you should kill,
first take out Sun Shao and his sub general. The next person should be Zhou
Tai, as he can get to be a pain when Ma Chao shows up. Try to defeat Zhou
Tai before he starts heading towards Sun Quan. Next, save the peasants.
Just being near them will get them back into the castle. Ma Chao will go
back into the castle as well. Your weapon should appear. You’ll have plenty
of time to get it later. Now, you can either defeat Ding Feng, stop Huang
Gai’s rush on Huang Zhong, or stop Lu Xun from defeating the Stone Sentinel
Maze. I normally aim for Lu Xun first to save moral. Don’t worry about Chen
Wu, as Jiang Wei can take care of him. Plus, it also helps to keep Sun Quan
where he is for most of the battle, as you don’t want him setting off Gan
Ning’s ambush too soon. Next, defeat Ding Feng and then finally go after
Huang Gai. When heading towards Huang Gai, go through the castle instead of
through the south. This way, you can grab your weapon on the way there. If
you have time and Jiang Wei hasn’t approached Sun Quan yet, you can take out
Sun Quan’s sub generals before he appears in the southwest. However, if
Jiang Wei’s units have already gotten to the northwest corner, Gan Ning
should appear in the southeast and head straight for the castle. Defeat Gan
Ning, defeat whoever is left of Sun Quan’s sub generals, then take out Sun
Quan.

My Ranking: 6 – It’s a pain at some points, as you have to chase down
everyone, but not overly drastic.

---------------
5b. Wei Weapons
---------------

Xiahou Dun

Weapon: Kirin Fang
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 17
Horse: 16
Defense: 17
Attack: 17
Musou: 16

Stage: Battle of Fan Castle, Wei Forces

Requirements: Prevent the flood attack

Location: Guan Yu’s base

My Method: To prevent the flood attack, you have to defeat Guan Ping. Take
him out fast, as he’s easier when the stage just starts off. You should be
able to beat him before any other generals arrive to try to double team you.
Once Guan Ping is dead, the weapon should appear. Defeat any officers who
were trying to come up and save Guan Ping. Now, you can just rush Guan Yu to
try to finish the level (Mi Fang and Fu Shi Ren shouldn’t be problems because
they defect after a few hits). Or you can take out most of the generals on
the map. Xu Huang tends to wipe out a lot of generals on the east side once
he appears. Zhang Fei and Zhang Bao can be hassles, but if you wait for Wu
to show up and take out generals along the way, it tends to be 3 Shu generals
versus 18 Wei and Wu generals. Not good odds for the God of War. Guan Yu is
in hyper mode, but isn’t that hard to beat if you have him surrounded.

My Ranking: 4 – Guan Ping can be tricky if you don’t kill him fast. Zhang
Fei and Guan Yu can also be a major headache if they’re together, but if you
can separate them, the brothers fall easy.

Dian Wei

Weapon: Mad Bull
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Light
Charge: 15
Fill: 15
Attack: 18
Musou: 17
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Wan Castle, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: Once Cao Cao escapes, prevent the task leaders from getting
through the gate

Location: In front of the gate you protect

My Method: When the stage starts, defeat all the enemies around Cao Cao to
get him escaping. Once he starts to escape, Hu Che Er will ambush you.
Defeat him and his soldiers to get Cao Cao moving again. Once he’s closer to
the gate, Jia Xiu will ambush you. Defeat him and his units to get Cao Cao
moving again. Once Cao Cao gets through the gate, the real action starts up.
You must not allow a single task leader through the gate. You should kill
around six of them before your weapon appears. After that, continue to guard
the gate and defeating task leaders. The stage should end after the eighth
or tenth task leader. Zhang Xiu shouldn’t even attack if you don’t let
anyone through.

My Rankings: 2 – No one hard to kill, task leaders are predictable, easy to
kill, and don’t do much to get around you

Xu Zhu

Weapon: Stone Crusher
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Light
Fill: 17
Luck: 15
Bow: 19
Defense: 19
Life: 20

Stage: Battle of Tong Gate, Wei forces

Requirements: Defeat Ma Chao and Pang De before defeating Han Sui

Location:

My Method: Your first target is Li Kan. Defeat him and allow your lord to
head north. Ma Dai will challenge you next. Defeat him quickly because Ma
Chao will be right behind him. Ma Chao is in hyper cutscene don't want to
die attack will increase and musou rage when near death mode, so be careful,
especially when Ma Chao goes into musou rage. Xu Zhu's attacks are too slow
to interrupt Ma Chao's attacks when he's not on a caffine rush. With Ma
Chao's speed doubled, you have to be double careful and pick your openings
wisely. Ma Chao is not easy, but the scary thing is, he's not the hardest
general on the map. That distinction goes to Pang De. After you have
defeated Ma Chao, your next target should be Pang De. Not only is Pang De
in hyper cutscene won't let you through Tong Gate attack increases and musou
rage when near death mode, but he is also surrounded by a decent ammount of
archers. Wonderful. Use hit and run tactics (or hit and waddle in the case
of Xu Zhu) to try to take down Pang De or just stand toe to toe with the
Chinese Knight. As with Ma Chao, when Pang De goes into musou rage, pick
your spots to attack wisely. Pang De is slower in attack speed than Ma Chao,
but in musou rage mode, even Xu Zhu is a fast attacker. Once Pang De falls,
your weapon will appear. Grab it and then take out the rest of the generals
on the stage and then take out Han Sui to end the stage.

My Ranking: 7 - Killing two hyper generals with anyone is no fun. Even
though Xu Zhu has been steadily improving since DW3, he still remains a great
crowd clearer and just an average general killer.

Cao Cao

Weapon: Wrath of Heaven
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Charge: 17
Bow: 15
Horse: 17
Attack: 17
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Xia Pi, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: Quickly defeat Gao Shun and Zhang Liao

Location: Outside the castle near the south gate

My Method: You’re going to need a horse for this one, preferably Red Hare.
Take the western most route to get to Gao Shun. He should be at the
waterwheel and should have only reinforced it once by the time you get there.
Quickly defeat him to activate the water attack. Next, fight Zhang Liao. He
isn’t that hard, as his moral just took a nice hit, so this shouldn’t be a
problem either. The weapon will show up at the south gate. After you get
it, you can take out Diao Chan and other generals, or you can go and face Lu
Bu. He is not hard, but take out his sub general first. Lu Bu might be
scary in other games and he might be scary at Hu Lao Gate, but he is easy to
take down here. He can use a musou rage I believe, so be careful of that,
but it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. After you beat up Lu Bu for a bit,
he should start to retreat. You can let him go or you can impose your
ambition upon him and defeat him, your choice.

My Ranking: 3 – Taking out Zhang Liao and Lu Bu should be scarier than this,
but it’s not.

Xiahou Yuan

Weapon: Enforcer Rod
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 16
Bow: 19
Attack: 16
Musou: 17
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Chi Bi, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: Stop all three parts of the fire attack, which are the chaining
of the boats (you don't have to really stop it, just avenge it quickly), the
summoning of the winds, and the fire attack.

Location:

My Method: First, follow Pang Tong as he heads towards the Wu ships. As
soon as he turns into an enemy, defeat him. Both bridges will probably fall,
but it doesn't mean anything as long as Pang Tong dies fast like. Now, what
you should focus on is defeating Zhou Yu's sub generals. Take them all out.
In the process of all this, you should get close to the fire ship point. Once
you do that, Cao Pi will say something. After all of Zhou Yu's sub generals
are defeated, head towards Pan Zhang. Now, you don't really have to kill
Zhou Yu's sub generals for the weapon. It just makes life easier. Defeat Pan
Zhang and his sub general and then attack the altar. Defeat Zhuge Liang and
that stops the second part of the fire attack. Huang Gai should be making his
way towards the fire ship, so chase him down. It's probably best to have a
saddle to chase him down. Huang Gai is in hyper mode, but he should be an
easy kill. Defeat him and the weapon will appear. Now, defeat Zhou Tai's sub
generals, defeat him and Cheng Pu to get Sun Quan to show up with
reinforcements. Defeat everyone else for failing, grab your weapon, and
defeat Sun Quan.

My Ranking: 4 - Not hard. Probably a 3, but I don't remember enough to say
it was super easy.

Zhang Liao

Weapon: Gold Wyvern
Base Attack: 37
Weight: Medium
Charge: 12
Fill: 18
Bow: 19
Attack: 15
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of He Fei, Wei forces

Requirements: Scare the enemy’s troops by defeating 9 generals or defeating
lots of soldiers along with a lot of generals (time limit?)

Location: Near the bridge you destroy (the section is accessible from the
southern side, not the northern side)

My Method: First, you should attack the center. Pan Zhang should have two
sub generals in there along with him, so take out all three. Make sure you
do this in a quick manner. This should get a Wu soldier to say something
about how great you are. Next, go towards Lu Meng, who should be in the
southwest corner. He also has two sub generals and should be attacking the
stronghold there. By the time you get through with his two sub generals, the
bridge should have collapsed and Sun Quan should have ordered a retreat. Lu
Meng should be running away. If he’s practically dead and not too far away,
finish him off. If he’s too far away and at full life, don’t worry about
him. Next, you should head to the northeast corner. Taishi Ci’s two sub
generals and Zhu Zhi’s two sub generals should be there, ignoring the
retreat. For those of you with bad math skills, 3 (from center) + 2 (from
southwest) + 4 (from northeast) = 9. That’s all you need. The Wu soldiers
will say something about you being a demon and your weapon will appear. Now,
take out Gan Ning, who I think is in hyper don’t want to die will musou rage
when near death making his musou super powerful and painful mode. If he is,
watch out because getting hit by a musou raged Gan Ning musou is no fun.
Once his ambush is gone, head towards Sun Quan and defeat all the generals in
the area protecting him and defeat Sun Quan.

My Ranking: 4.5 – I didn’t know whether I should give it a 4 or a 5, so it
gets a 4.5, and ironically, both.

Sima Yi

Weapon: Dark Feather
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Fill: 15
Defense: 16
Attack: 15
Musou: 19

Stage: Battle of Chen Cang, Wei forces

Requirements: Take all three enemy bases before damage is done to the walls
of the castle

Location:

My Method: First, head towards the left path. Wei Yan and his sub generals
should be there to block your path, but just defeat him and his sub generals.
You should have plenty of time to do everything. Now, you should head towards
the southeastern defense stronghold. Take the base. Now, you can either focus
on the remaining two strongholds, or you can clear out the center area. Either
way, the next stronghold to fall should be the center one. After that, defeat
the western most stronghold and the weapon should appear, assuming you did it
all before your walls took damage (around 7 to 10 minutes). Grab your weapon,
defeat any enemy reinforcements and then defeat Zhuge Liang once he pops up.

My Ranking: 3 - Long time limit and the stage isn’t hard.

Xu Huang

Weapon: Marauder
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Light
Fill: 15
Luck: 15
Speed: 15
Attack: 17
Life: 18

Stage: Battle of Chang Ban, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: After Liu Bei’s final reinforcements appear, defeat Guan Yu
and Zhang Fei

Location:

My Method: First thing you should do when the stage starts is head for the
southern area. Take the two southern most neutral bases. However, don’t
take any of the neutral middle bases. You want Liu Bei to get past those.
Don’t touch Zhang Fei or Guan Yu until Liu Qi arrives. Just to be on the
safe side, don’t touch Zhuge Liang either. I don’t know if he’s required to
be on the map to make the reinforcements show up. All other generals and sub
generals are fair game (except for Liu Bei of course). Guan Yu shows up in
the southwest in the first ambush. Once Liu Qi arrives, Liu Bei will try to
escape, but will be blocked by the bases you captured. While he’s trying to
get through, defeat Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Grab your weapon and complete the
stage.

My Ranking: 3 – Requires a little bit of setup, but not hard.

Zhang He

Weapon: Phoenix Talon
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Fill: 15
Speed: 19
Attack: 16
Musou: 18

Stage: Battle of Jie Ting, Wei forces

Requirements: After Ma Su has been surrounded and after he begins to
retreat, defeat Ma Su

Location: Northern most path leading towards Ma Su’s camp

My Method: First things first, aim for Gao Xiong and his sub general, Liao
Hua. Defeat both of them and seal off their gate. Next, take out Zhang Bao.
He’s not really required to seal off the mountain, but he just tends to get
in the way. After wards, take out Wang Ping, Wang Ping’s sub general, and
his gate to finishing sealing off the mountain. This will cause Ma Su to
panic. Remember to do all of this before Jiang Wei makes his way up the
mountain. Once Ma Su is surrounded, you have to wait a while for him to
retreat. In the meantime, take out other generals, like Jiang Wei or Ma Su’s
sub generals. Jiang Wei has lightning bolts flowing around him, so he’s more
difficult than normal. Once Ma Su says that he needs to get back to the
prime minister, it’s time to take out Zhuge Liang’s pupil. Ma Su isn’t hard
to defeat. Just don’t let him get away from you. After that, grab your
prize and take out Shu’s reinforcements while waiting for Zhuge Liang to
appear.

My Ranking: 3 – Nothing really too difficult.

Zhen Ji

Weapon: Dark Moon Flute
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Medium
Fill: 20
Horse: 17
Bow: 18
Defense: 18
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of He Fei Castle, Wei forces

Requirements: Get 300 kills and meet with Cao Pi to get a cut scene about
Zhen Ji’s fighting ability

Location: Sun Quan’s ship

My Method: Getting 300 kills on this stage is easy. The main trick is
keeping your moral high enough so that your allies survive. My first target
tends to be Taishi Ci and his sub general, but you can always go the other
side and deal with Cheng Pu and his sub generals. Either way, you should
take out one side completely. The next target should either be the ram or Lu
Xun’s sub generals, depending on whether or not the ram is inside your
castle. If it is, take it out. If not, then you still have time to general
kill. It would be best to take out the ram before it starts attacking your
wall. Once the ram is dead, the Wu navy should appear with Jiang Qin, along
with his sub general Chen Wu, and Pan Zhang, along with his sub general Dong
Xi. Another ram also appears. Defeat Chen Wu, Jiang Qin, and Dong Xi if
he’s near your position. Sometimes Dong Xi likes to run northwards. If he
does, it’s pointless to go after him, as you can always get him when Pan
Zhang starts invading the castle. Also, make sure you get the ram before it
enters your castle. Once the navy has been mostly destroyed, defeat any of
Lu Xun’s sub generals that you didn’t. Take out any generals inside the
castle you may have missed. By this time, you should have well over 300
kills, if not 400. It’s time to visit Cao Pi. When you get near him, you
should get two cut scenes. The first one should be about the pathway and the
ambush party. The second one should be about how Zhen Ji is a kick ass
fighter. Once you get the one about Cao Pi complimenting Zhen Ji, the weapon
should appear. Now, defeat Wu’s ambush parties near Cao Pi. This would be a
good time to also go and defeat Pan Zhang, as he should be finished with Man
Chong and should be trying to make his way into the castle. Once the castle
has been cleared, take the pathway that goes around the castle to go to Lu
Xun’s position. Lu Xun isn’t hard, so he shouldn’t be any problems. The
only people that should be left are Zhou Tai, Sun Quan’s two sub generals,
and Sun Quan himself. Zhou Tai might give you problems, but he’s easy as
long as you avoid his musou attack. Sun Quan’s sub generals aren’t a problem
either and they drop nice defense bonuses. Sun Quan’s is kind of hard, but
isn’t that much of a problem either. Just make sure you get your weapon
before defeating him.

My Ranking: 5 – No real time limit allows you to defeat people at a
leisurely pace. The generals are stronger due to the difficulty, but not by
much.

Cao Ren

Weapon: Roc
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Light
Fill: 15
Bow: 15
Defense: 18
Attack: 15
Life: 19

Stage: Escape from Chi Bi, Wei forces

Requirements: Defeat all reinforcement generals before they slow down the
march of Cao Cao and defeat Sun Quan

Location:

My Method: You do have enough time to defeat sub generals, but they are not
required. The first ambusher should be Cheng Pu. He’ll ambush Cao Cao as
soon as Guan Yu leaves and in front of Cao Cao. Defeat him. Han Dang should
ambush behind you. Run towards him and defeat him. While Cao Cao is moving
east, Zhu Zhi should appear. Race to him and defeat him. Cao Cao will begin
to move north and say something about how there is no ambush. Of course,
this is a sure sign that you will get ambushed, so Zhao Yun shows up. Defeat
him and continue on your merry way. Zhang Fei should appear next. Take him
out and continue moving. When you reach the western fork, Guan Ping will
appear. Defeat him. Once he’s gone, retrace your steps and head towards the
southeastern corner. Sun Quan will appear. He’s probably the hardest
general on the level, but he shouldn’t be that difficult. Defeat him to make
your weapon appear. By now Liu Bei should have blocked Cao Cao’s path, but
with all the generals you have been beating up, Cao Cao should have more than
enough moral to survive. Grab your weapon, defeat Liu Bei, and clear the
path for your master to escape.

My Ranking: 3 – Easy as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Cao Pi

Weapon: Chaos
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Fill: 15
Speed: 19
Defense: 15
Attack: 15
Musou: 19

Stage: Battle of Wu Zhang Plains, Wei forces

Requirements: Destroy all the arbalest units while Cao Ren is still alive

Location: The central plateau where the arbalest units are

My Method: I never liked the design of this stage, but oh well. To get the
arbalest units to appear, you have to defeat three main generals. Sub
generals do not count, although I normally defeat them too anyways because
they normally drop good items. I normally aim for the attack bases and Wang
Ping first. I don’t really know why, but I just do. When Zhong Hui appears
on the map, make sure he gets into his base, as the catapults really help
ally moral. Take out Wei Yan and his groupies next, as they can do a lot of
damage in a short period of time. Ma Dai should be the next general you aim
for. Once he’s dead, Zhuge Liang should die also. This should set make
Jiang Wei the new leader of Shu. There should be enemy reinforcements at one
point in the level where a general shows up near the northeast corner of the
level (I think it’s Jian Yong, but I’m probably wrong). Make sure you don’t
forget about defeating him at some point in the level, as he can cause
problems for your allies. Now, time to go down the east side and take out
that damn supply line. The longer it takes you to take out the supply line,
the stronger the arbalests are going to be. Even so, if you clear out the
center quickly enough, the arbalests shouldn’t be too powerful. Take out the
bases and sub generals as you head towards Yue Ying. Make sure you get the
defense captain that’s standing near the enemy checkpoint about halfway down
the east path. That should cut the supply line. Before you defeat Yue Ying,
kill those task leaders that are setting off the explosives. It’s no fun
dealing with Yue Ying AND juggernauts AND exploding pots as well. Yue Ying
isn’t hard. She’s just surrounded by juggernauts. Finally, it’s time to
take out the arbalest units. The only generals should be Jiang Wei and Liao
Hua (I’m pretty sure he’s the general that doesn’t end up attacking your
base, but I could be wrong) and their sub generals. Your home base should be
safe, so you can spend as much time as you need in taking out arbalest units.
When taking out the arbalests, it’s best to work from the inside out. There
are also archer towers and juggernaut units there too, so make sure you stay
alert. Take out the arbalests closest to the center first, then make your
way around the outside. Make sure you stay behind the arbalests when
destroying them, as it’s a lot safer than standing in front of them. Once
they’re all gone, you should get a message saying that they’ve all been
destroyed and another message saying your weapon has appeared. The weapon
should appear near you on that plateau, so just grab it and finish the level.
Watch out for Jiang Wei, for he is surrounded by juggernauts just like
everything else in this level.

My Ranking: 7 – Annoying, but not overly hard, as there’s really only three
playable generals to deal with and no one is really super powerful.
Juggernauts are annoying, but they’re slow and easy to avoid.

Pang De

Weapon: Heavenly Halberd
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Light
Luck: 15
Horse: 17
Defense: 15
Attack: 16
Life: 18

Stage: Battle of Mt. Ding Jun, Wei forces

Requirements: Defeat all generals except for Liu Bei and his sub general
before Cao Cao appears

Location: In the clearing between Zhao Yun's initial position and the attack
base along the edge of the stage.

My Method: Cao Cao appears when either Xiahou Yuan dies or Huang Zhong dies.
If Huang Zhong starts his attack on Xiahou Yuan, odds are, he will not
survive. Huang Zhong charges down the mountain after a certain amount of
time has passed or after you go up onto the central mountain. So that means
you have to avoid going up the mountain and you have to kill everyone
quickly. Also, since this stage is based around the two best archers of the
Three Kingdom’s era, there are going to be a lot of archers on this map.
First, head towards Zhao Yun. Take out his sub generals and the attack base
along the way. Zhao Yun isn’t hard on this map, so you shouldn’t have many
problems. His archers are more annoying than he is. The next target should
be Guan Ping. You should be able to get near him without Huang Zhong
charging down the mountain, but don’t let Guan Ping hit you and send you
flying up the mountain. Once he’s gone, head back around the way you came in
and take out Huang Zhong’s sub generals near Xiahou Yuan. They shouldn’t
pose any threats at all to Xiahou Yuan. Next, head north and take out Wei
Yan’s sub general. Break through the defense base and defeat Wei Yan. Check
your unit info. If Huang Zhong and Yan Yan are the only two required
generals left, head up the mountain to get Huang Zhong to charge down the
mountain. If not, then take out whatever sub generals may be left near
Xiahou Yuan’s base. Before you defeat Huang Zhong, defeat Yan Yan, who tends
to stay behind Huang Zhong and normally just gets forgotten. Huang Zhong is
in hyper, don’t want to die mode, so watch out. He heals himself and gets an
attack and defense boost the first time he says something. The second time,
he goes into musou rage mode. He’s very powerful and hard to kill, but you
shouldn’t be rushed for time, so you can take your time and use whatever
tricks you have up your sleeve to take him out. Also, you might want to get
rid of archers before you take him on. Once he’s gone, Cao Cao should appear
and so should your weapon. Grab it and defeat Liu Bei.

My Ranking: 6 – Huang Zhong has this issue about not wanting to die.

--------------
5c. Wu Weapons
--------------

Zhou Yu

Weapon: Ancients Sword
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Charge: 17
Bow: 16
Defense: 15
Attack: 16
Musou: 18

Stage: Battle of the Wu Territory, Sun Ce’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Yan Bai Hu and Wang Lang

Location: On top of the west wall of the southern fort

My Method: You start outside Yan Bai Hu’s fort, so you might as well take
it. I normally defeat all the generals inside the fort, but you can just
defeat Yan Bai Hu if you want. Once the fort falls, make your way towards
the center attack base. One of Taishi Ci’s sub generals is going to come out
of the southern fort and try to attack Sun Ce. You should meet him around
the attack base, so just deal with the minor annoyance. Sun Quan should get
ambushed by now. You don’t have to save him, but it’s always nice to have
some more people attacking Taishi Ci. Save Sun Quan by defeating the
ambushing general and the sub general of Taishi Ci’s that tries to attack Sun
Quan also. Now finally, you can focus on getting your weapon. Wang Lang
should be an easy kill. You should get the second fort and you should get
the weapon to appear. Taishi Ci should be the commander now, so it’s time to
pay him a visit. Grab your weapon first. Taishi Ci is not all that easy.
He gets an attack up during the battle and goes into a musou rage when near
death. Plus, his whole move set is basically designed for dueling one on
one, especially his musou. However, he should be surrounded by a good amount
of your allies, so it shouldn’t be too terribly difficult.

My Ranking: 3 – Only difficult thing about this stage is Taishi Ci, and even
then, he’s not that difficult at all.

Lu Xun

Weapon: Falcon
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Fill: 15
Luck: 18
Speed: 20
Attack: 15
Musou: 19

Stage: Battle of Bai Di Castle, Wu forces

Requirements: Defeat Ma Chao and Jiang Wei before Yue Ying appears as
reinforcements

Location: Northeast corner of the Stone Sentinel Maze

My Method: In order for Yue Ying to arrive as reinforcements, you either
have to go inside the castle or you have to defeat Xing Cai. It’s easy to
avoid those two events, so you should have plenty of time to try to get this
weapon, as your allies do tend to survive. First thing you want to do is to
take out Huang Zhong and his sub general. You want him dead before Ma Chao
charges to attack you. If you can defeat other generals after you take out
Huang Zhong, you can (there should be a sub general of Xing Cai’s that tends
to come out and want to play, so you might want to take him out as well).
Once Ma Chao appears, go directly to him and face him. He’s in hyper kill
everything mode, so be careful. He can double his attack and go into musou
rage near death. Once he’s gone, go towards Jiang Wei. Now you have to deal
with a weak version of the Stone Sentinel Maze. To get through it, just make
your way to the center of the maze until you find a gold statue. Destroy it
to make enemies appear. Defeat all those enemies to make all the doors open.
Now you can get to Jiang Wei. When you get to Jiang Wei, try to take out the
arbalest first. At least stand behind the arbalest. Normally, you can do
attacks that have enough range to occupy Jiang Wei and to hit the arbalest.
Once you get rid of Jiang Wei, the weapon should appear inside the maze.
Since all the doors are open, it’s easy to get. To finish off the stage, you
can just run to Liu Chan or you can take out the other generals on the stage.
If you choose to do this, watch out for Xing Cai. She’s got lightning
flowing around her and have a couple arbalests to defend herself.

My Ranking: 6 – Ma Chao is hard, but you don’t have to kill him within any
time period. Other than that, the bare bones requirements are easy to pull
off.

Taishi Ci

Weapon: Tiger Slayer
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Horse: 15
Bow: 15
Defense: 18
Life: 18

Stage: Battle of the Wu Territory, Allied forces

Requirements: After Sun Quan is ambushed, defeat Sun Quan before Zhou Tai
reaches Sun Quan

Location: Near where Sun Ce starts

My Method: When the stage opens, head towards Zhang Ying. He should say
something bad about Sun Quan’s daddy and start to run away, letting Sun Quan
chase him. As soon as Sun Quan enters the fort and the doors close behind
him, defeat him. Next, run to Zhou Tai. You should get a bunch of messages
saying Sun Quan is ambushed and Zhou Tai is heading towards Sun Quan, even
though Sun Quan is currently dead. It takes time before the weapon appears.
You can use this time to defeat Zhou Tai. Once he’s defeated, take out Dong
Xi and head for the southwest corner of the map. Cheng Pu should be there.
Defeat him, Hang Dang, and Jiang Qin. Finally, take out Zhou Yu and Sun
Shang Xiang. This should get Sun Ce to start moving towards you. Before you
defeat him, grab your weapon. Then take out Sun Ce.

My Ranking: 3 – Really simple. Just kill Sun Quan fast.

Sun Shang Xiang

Weapon: Sol Chakram
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Heavy
Luck: 19
Bow: 15
Speed: 19
Defense: 17
Life: 15

Stage: The Invasion of Nan Zhong, Wu forces

Requirements: After the cut scene of Sun Shang Xiang meeting with Sun Quan,
defeat all generals and sub generals

Location: South of the northwestern base, next to the river

My Method: First, charge Meng Huo. Just run straight for Meng You’s
position. Meng Huo should say something about you being an idiot. This
should cause a task force to try to break the bridge. Ignore it. Don’t kill
anyone just yet. Head towards Sun Quan and wait for the cut scene of the
bridge being destroyed. If you’re near Sun Quan, you should get another cut
scene of Sun Shang Xiang meeting Sun Quan. After this, you can start killing
people. Now, you have to kill everyone yourself. The enemies that tend to
die fast are Meng Yanchang, Dong Tu Na, and Ahui Nan. Kill the two generals
near Sun Quan, starting with Meng Yanchang first. After this, head east and
south. You can kill one or two generals along your way, but odds are, Dong
Tu Na or Ahui Nan are going to die before you can get there. Once you reach
Dong Tu Na and Ahui Nan, kill them. Then kill Jinhuan Sanjie and Zhu Rong.
Make your way back up the east side and kill Meng You and King Duosi. The
last ambush should happen after a long while. It should happen west of Sun
Quan and it should be Wu Tugu. Once he’s defeated, you should get your
weapon to appear. Remember, you must land the killing blow on each general
and sub general, so hide your bodyguard near a Nanman gate or something like
that. After you get your weapon, defeat Meng Huo.

My Ranking: 4 – No one here is particularly difficult, but killing everyone
before someone else does can be a pain.

Sun Jian

Weapon: Savage Tiger
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Light
Fill: 18
Horse: 16
Defense: 16
Musou: 15
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Si Shui Gate, Allied forces

Requirements: Defeat Lu Bu within five minutes of his appearance

Location:

My Method: Before you freak out about how you have to defeat Lu Bu on hard,
let me make one thing clear: Lu Bu is not hard in this game. Not compared
to the other games. As long as you have decent items, Lu Bu is easy to kill
in five minutes. Okay, before you get to Lu Bu, you should take out most of
the enemies on the map, including the ones near the Si Shui Gate like Li Jue.
Also, you want to defeat that defense base near Yuan Shao to get the supplies
through to your camp, as it will help moral. You might also want to try to
get some allied soldiers in there to provide a distraction for Lu Bu, but you
don’t have to. Lu Bu will appear when you get close to Si Shui Gate. Once
Lu Bu shows up, you can do a few things to defeat him. He is easy to juggle
to death if you have a fire orb equipped. You can use your bodyguard or
other soldiers to distract him while you’re hitting him. Lu Bu really
doesn’t have much in his arsenal that is really painful except for his
Charge 3, which he will use more often than not. Still, it’s not really an
instant death unless you’re using a completely fresh character. Lu Bu is in
hyper mode and will use an attack up early in the battle and a musou rage
when near death, so you might want to have a musou token of your own to
counteract it. Otherwise, Lu Bu is really toned down. Remember, you only
have five minutes to kill him, so make quick work of him (it should not take
you the entire five minutes to defeat him). Once he’s dead, claim your
weapon and claim Hua Xiong's head.

My Ranking: 4 – It would be lower, but Lu Bu is a small challenge...I guess.

Sun Quan

Weapon: Master Wolf
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Charge: 17
Fill: 15
Bow: 15
Attack: 16
Musou: 18

Stage: Battle of Chi Bi, Sun Quan’s forces

Requirements: The knocking down of the bridges, the summoning of the winds,
and the fire attack all must be successful

Location:

My Method: First, you want to head north. Defeat Wang Lang, who is on the
eastern bridge. Take out any sub generals in the area like Man Chong and
then head towards the giant center ship. Defeat Cao Hong and ignore Xiahou
Yuan. You will get to take him out later. Defeat Cai Mao, who is on the
western bridge and run south. Both bridges should be down now. That's part
one of the fire attack. By now, Zhang Liao's sub generals should be causing
hell for your forces. But first, defeat Xiahou Yuan's last sub general.
Now you can head to where ever Zhang Liao's sub generals are and defeat them.
Sometimes they're still on the western path near the altar, sometimes they've
made their way through your forces and getting close to Zhou Yu. Defeat both
of them and then make your way up the western path. Head towards Zhang Liao.
By now, Xiahou Yuan should be making his way towards Huang Gai. Defeat
whoever crosses your path first, whether it be Zhang Liao or Xiahou Yuan, and
then just for equality sake, defeat the other one. Head east and take out
Zhen Ji and her sub generals. They should be all the way down the eastern
side of your ships. Head north and defeat Cao Xiu. By now, both the wind
summoning and the fire attack should have happened. Your weapon should
also appear. Grab it and then defeat Cao Pi and Cao Zhen. Finish off the
Cao family line by defeating Cao Cao.

My Ranking: 4 or 6 - It's a four if you do it in his musou mode. It's a 6
if you do it in free mode. Three stars do make a lot of difference.

Lu Meng

Weapon: White Tiger
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Horse: 16
Bow: 15
Defense: 17
Life: 17

Stage: Battle of Fan Castle, Wu forces

Requirements: Force Mi Heng and Fu Shi Ren to defect and defeat Zhang Fei
while Mi Heng and Fu Shi Ren are still alive

Location: Along the northwest border near the dam where Guan Yu starts off

My Method: Zhang Bao and Zhang Fei are reinforcements, so they are not on
the map to start the level. You first want to clear out the eastern half of
the map to protect Pang De and Cao Ren. Defeat all generals and sub generals
in that part of the map. Next, cut across that middle defense strong hold
and defeat Guan Ping. Go towards the southern fort and convert Mi Feng and
Fu Shi Ren to the side of Wu. There should be two ambushes that come from
the fort. The first one should have Liu Shan. The second one should be
Zhang Fei and son. Defeat Zhang Bao first, as he’s a sub general of Zhang
Fei. Zhang Fei has lightning surrounding him, so he’s a little difficult.
When he’s defeated, grab your weapon, clean up any generals left (should only
be about one or two), and finish the stage. Guan Yu is in hyper increase
attack during battle musou rage near death you know the drill mode, but he
should also be surrounded by Wu, Wei, the Mongols, the Japanese, the
Russians, and the cast of Friends, so he should go down without a fight.

My Ranking: 4 – Lots of people to kill, but lots of time to do it in.

Gan Ning

Weapon: Sea Master
Base Attack: 38
Weight: Light
Charge: 15
Luck: 18
Speed: 15
Attack: 19
Musou: 15

Stage: Battle of Xia Kou, Huang Zu’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Ling Cao and Ling Tong within a certain time limit

Location: Right next to Cai Mao

My Method: Run past Ling Cao and defeat Ling Tong. The thing is, Ling Tong
goes into hyper refuse to die will musou rage when near death mode if Ling
Cao is dead. Killing Ling Tong first makes things easier on you. Since he
has to die fast, this makes things easy. Once Ling Tong is dead, defeat Ling
Cao and make your weapon show up. Good thing it’s right there. Now, head to
the fort Huang Zu is in and defeat all the generals trying to get at him.
Take the left path towards Taishi Ci and defeat him. Cut across the middle
and defeat Zhou Tai and his sub general. Now, you can either make a dash for
Zhou Yu and defeat him, or if you just want this easy level to end, just head
for Sun Quan and take him out (which you could have done all along, but why
leave perfectly good stat boosters on a level?)

My Ranking: 3 – Lots of playable generals on the board, none of them hard.

Huang Gai

Weapon: Dark Shadow
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Luck: 16
Defense: 17
Attack: 17
Life: 15

Stage: The Yellow Turban Rebellion, Allied forces

Requirements: Defeat all generals and sub generals except for Zhang Jiao,
Zhang Jiao's sub generals, He Yi, and He Yi's sub generals

Location:

My Method: You start off near Zhang Man Chang, but he should not be your
first target. If you look at your unit info, you will see that Zhang Man
Chang has a sub general near where Zhang Jiao is. You want to take out the
first sub general that is directly in front of you and then head towards
Zhang Liang's altar. Defeat Zhang Liang's sub general and then defeat Zhang
Liang. Head north and defeat the two sub generals standing in front of Zhang
Jiao's castle and then head back to Zhang Man Chang. If you're fast enough,
Zhang Man Chang should still be alive, so defeat him. Your next target is
Zhang Bao and his sub general. Defeat Zhang Bao's sub general and defeat
that flaming idiot, Zhang Bao. Your weapon should appear. Now, it's just
a matter of defeating He Yi and Zhang Jiao. Remember to take care of the
phantom army by taking out the objects on the altar in Zhang Jiao's fort
before fighting the Leader of the Way of Peace.

My Ranking: 2 - Would be a 1, but it took me a while before I realized Zhang
Man Chang had a sub general hiding near Zhang Jiao's fort.

Sun Ce

Weapon: Overlord
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Speed: 18
Attack: 18
Musou: 15
Life: 15

Stage: The Trials of Sun Ce, Sun Ce’s forces

Requirements: Defeat the last set of phantom Yu Ji’s within ten minutes of
the stage starting or within five minutes of them showing up (haven’t
confirmed which one is correct)

Location: North area of the stage

My Method: I’m not sure how fast you have to do everything, but I do know
that everything has to be done FAST. First, you have to defeat the first Yu
Ji. After he’s gone, he will make four more Yu Ji’s appear. You have to
defeat these four Yu Ji’s. They’re really easy. Now things get more
difficult. He will summon four more Yu Ji’s along with phantom soldiers.
The Yu Ji’s are still easy to kill, but the phantom soldiers will make things
difficult, as you can’t hit them or kill them. Once the Yu Ji’s are gone, he
will turn your own soldiers against you and send them after you. You have to
get up to 50 kills in order to move on with the stage, so kill people
quickly. Once you get 50 kills, he will summon illusions of Sun Jian and Da
Qiao to attack you. Get rid of Sun Jian first and then get rid of Da Qiao.
Neither of these illusions are hard, but they’re harder than the phantom Yu
Ji’s. Once they’re gone and you get the cut scene, Yu Ji will summon 8 more
phantom Yu Ji’s. The first couple of these phantoms you kill are really
easy. However, after you kill three, Yu Ji says something and the phantom
become much harder to kill. They get more defense and life. Worse, they
start throwing ice and stun projectiles at you, freezing you and stunning you
and making your time go away. Also, they like to attack you 3 or 4 at a
time, meaning if you get hit with 3 ice projectiles, one of them is going to
probably freeze you. Remember, you only have about five minutes to kill all
8 of these phantoms. What you can do is weaken most of the Yu Ji’s while
they’re in the weak stage and get them down to almost no life. They will
become easier to kill once they become stronger. Also, make sure to avoid
killing the real one. He has two life bars, so he should be easy to pick
out. Once all the phantoms are dead, the item box should appear to the north
if you did everything fast enough. After you get the weapon, kill the real
Yu Ji and complete the stage. I will run tests eventually to see which one
of the requirements are correct.

My Ranking: 6 – The time limit is really unforgiving and it doesn’t help
that the last illusions tend to freeze and stun you more often than not.

Da Qiao

Weapon: Qiao Beauty
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Heavy
Luck: 18
Defense: 15
Attack: 16
Musou: 19
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Xia Kou, Sun Quan’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Cai Mao and Gan Ning before Ling Tong is defeated and
before Cai Mao launches the ships towards Sun Quan

Location: Center area north of Cai Mao

My Method: The first general you want to defeat is Gan Ning. He’s in hyper
cut scene kill everyone mode, so Ling Tong doesn’t last very long on hard.
Gan Ning gets a speed and attack up and goes into a musou rage when he’s near
death. However, Ling Tong should help out in the killing of Gan Ning, which
is a good thing. Make sure you get the last hit on him. Also, watch out for
Gan Ning’s musou. It does a lot of damage for one hit, so be careful. After
Gan Ning is gone, run to Cai Mao and defeat him to prevent the ships from
launching. You do have a fair amount of time before the ships launch, so
you’re not in a huge rush. Just don’t take 40 minutes in killing Gan Ning.
After Cai Mao’s dead, grab your weapon and kill off everyone else and finish
off Huang Zu. The rest of the stage should be really easy.

My Ranking: 3 – Gan Ning really isn’t that hard.

Xiao Qiao

Weapon: Qiao Grace
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Heavy
Charge: 17
Fill: 15
Speed: 19
Defense: 15
Musou: 15

Stage: Battle of Jing Province, Sun Jian’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Cai Mao and Lu Gong before Sun Jian is ambushed and
retreats

Location: Inside Liu Biao’s inner fort, south of his position

My Method: First, rush Cai Mao. He should be really easy to defeat. After
he goes down, enter the castle and rush Lu Gong. You should have no problems
defeating both generals. Sun Jian doesn’t stay alive a long time, but stays
alive long enough to allow you to take out both generals. They’re both
really easy kills (they should die in five hits if you played through Xiao
Qiao’s musou mode). After you get the weapon to appear, run towards Huang Zu
and avenge Sun Jian’s death. Then go inside the castle, grab your weapon,
and finish off Liu Biao. None of the generals should give you any problems.

My Ranking: 2 – It would be a difficult time limit if the generals didn’t
die as soon as you look at them.

Zhou Tai

Weapon: Dusk
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Fill: 16
Speed: 15
Attack: 17
Musou: 18
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Yi Ling, Wu forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhao Yun before the fire attack and then succeed in the
fire attack

Location: The eastern most part of the Stone Sentinel Maze

My Method: Bring a horse and rush Zhao Yun. He’s all the way across the map,
so it’s best to get rid of him first. Defeat him and his sub generals if you
want. You might also want to defeat Sha Moke if you want (if anything, it’s a
great way to release all your anger towards the Sha Moke fan boys). Now, work
your way towards the center, defeating Yan Yan and other generals around him.
Make sure you also get that supply stronghold that’s close to the area that Zhu
Ran heads towards. Once the bridge layer is set and Zhu Ran heads towards the
Shu camp, go to him and make sure no one is around him. Even if you killed
everyone in the area, he still tends to die when you aren’t around him (he
probably trips over his own two feet and hits his head on a rock or something).
Once the fire attack happens, your weapon should appear in the Stone Sentinel
Maze. There is lots of fun to be had in there. There is a nifty little trick
in getting the weapon. If you go through the maze once and complete it, when
you go back into the maze, you will have the ability to use your map in the
maze! Okay, to get through the maze the first time, just take the first left
when you are in the maze and continue along that path. You should come across
a pot containing a Musou Wine. Take the next path right just after the Musou
Wine. This should lead you out of the maze and into Liu Bei’s camp. Now head
back into the maze and use the map to get to the right side of the map and to
your weapon. Grab your weapon and defeat Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei.

My Ranking: 5 - Zhao Yun can be a pain and the maze can be even more of a
pain.

Ling Tong

Weapon: Dragon Fury
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Charge: 16
Luck: 16
Speed: 19
Attack: 17
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of He Fei, Wu forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhang Liao four times

Location: Inside the northwest castle on top of the southeastern wall

My Method: Zhang Liao is not on the map to start off the level, so start by
claiming the center. You should have Pang De and Cao Zhang killed off before
Zhang Liao appears. Zhang Liao appears in the center of the map near Sun
Quan and the bridge he vandalized. While on your way to defeat Zhang Liao,
defeat Li Dian and Yu Jin. You should have time. Now, face off with Zhang
Liao. Zhang Liao is on a permanent attack up, so be careful. Also, make
sure you get the last hit on him. After he is defeated, head towards the
southwestern corner. Xu Huang should have arrived, so defeat him and Yue
Jin. Also, take out the stronghold there. There is a reason why for this.
By now, Zhang Liao has arrived for the second time in the northern center
area. Defeat him a second time. Chase down Cao Zhen and Xiahou Dun, who
should be heading down the eastern side of the map heading for Sun Quan.
Once those two are defeated, head for the southwest part of the map. Zhang
Liao should appear again and head for Sun Quan, but his advanced should be
slowed a little by the stronghold you took down there (hence, why you took
it). Defeat him a third time. By now, there should be no generals except
for Cao Cao alive, except maybe for one of his sub generals who is probably
on life support and surrounded by 80 Wu soldiers. You can either get items
and weapons, get the musou up, file your nails, cook lunch or anything else
you want to do while waiting for Zhang Liao to appear. The dragon Zhang Liao
who will burn the kingdom of Wu will appear east of Cao Cao’s castle. Get
there, teach Zhang Liao that it’s not nice to burn the lands of Wu by
extinguishing his flame, get your weapon, and defeat Cao Cao.

My Ranking: 5 – It’s not hard, just long and annoying. Zhang Liao on a
permanent attack up can be a challenge, but nothing else is too difficult.

-----------------
5d. Other Weapons
-----------------

Diao Chan

Weapon: Diva
Base Attack: 32
Weight: Heavy
Fill: 18
Luck: 18
Speed: 19
Defense: 16
Musou: 18

Stage: Battle of Xia Pi, Lu Bu’s forces

Requirements: Defeat all generals and sub generals before Cao Cao shows up
and before Hou Cheng is defeated

Location:

My Method: First, go directly to Xiahou Yuan and Xiahou Dun’s sub generals.
They tend to be the ones trying to kill Hou Cheng. Defeat them. Xiahou Yuan
should also be in the area. He’s a little bit tougher to kill, but shouldn’t
be too much of a problem. Now, Xiahou Dun should be your next target. Once
all the Wei officers are defeated, you only have the three brothers of Shu
left. The first one you should run into is Guan Yu. Make quick work of him.
By now, both Zhang Fei and Liu Bei should be attacking the south gate of Xia
Pi castle. Defeat them both and your weapon should appear. Now, the only
thing left to do is to make a mad dash for Cao Cao, who should appear in the
north area and try to attack the north gate. Finish him off and the level
should be complete. I believe Cao Cao is in hyper will musou rage you when
near death mode, but I’m not 100% sure.

My Ranking: 6 – Need to be kind of fast and lots of playable generals to
kill, especially for someone with a really weak move set and an even weaker
musou.

Lu Bu

Weapon: Sky Scorcher
Base Attack: 40
Weight: Medium
Horse: 20
Defense: 20
Attack: 20
Musou: 19
Life: 19

Stage: Battle of Chang Shan, Yuan Shao’s forces

Requirements: Get 1000 KOs

Location: Middle of the castle

My Method: First, defeat Zhang Yan and his sub general. Also, take out the
attack base. Then, go to the northwest gate and sit there. Stay close
enough to the gate where everyone will attack you, but far enough away from
it so that the gate captain doesn’t come near you. Just kill all the peons
that get near you. After a while, Diao Chan’s troops will start to occupy
the gate captain. This is your chance to go right up next to the gate and
attack people as soon as they appear. You should be able to get 1000 kills
right here. You should be able to get at least 800 before Diao Chan kills
the gate captain. Inside the castle, you can get at least 200 more kills, as
Gongsun Zan’s gate captain also does the whole infinite soldiers thing.
Either way, it’s not that hard to get 1000 kills, especially with Lu Bu.
Grab your weapon, kill everyone on the map and finish the stage. No one on
the map should pose a threat to Lu Bu.

My Ranking: 3 – He’s Lu Bu. Everyone just dies as soon as he says his name.

Dong Zhuo

Weapon: Horror
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Medium
Luck: 17
Horse: 17
Defense: 15
Attack: 18
Life: 15

Stage: Battle of Liang Province, Dong Zhuo’s forces

Requirements: Take all five bases, then defeat Ma Chao and Pang De (time
limit?)

Location:

My Method: Taking the bases should be a breeze. Just start at the
southwestern base and work your ways diagonally up. Ignore Pang De when you
get near him. You should finish with the northeastern base. Once you are
there, head south to face off with Ma Chao. Take him off of his horse and
beat him senseless. Next, rush Pang De and do the same thing to him. Your
weapon should appear. Finish off Han Sui and the rest of Ma Teng’s general,
then take out Ma Teng himself.

My Ranking: 3 – Nope, no challenge.

Yuan Shao

Weapon: Sword of Kings
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Attack: 18
Horse: 15
Bow: 15
Defense: 18
Musou: 17

Stage: Battle of Guan Du, Yuan Shao’s forces

Requirements: Force the left and right gates to open

Location:

My Method: The best way to save moral is to defeat Guan Yu before he defeats
Yan Liang. Rush Guan Yu as soon as the stage opens and defeat him. Now,
just slowly defeat all of Cao Cao’s officers. Start with the fort south of
Yan Liang and move your way eastward. At some point, you might want to sweep
the area in front of Guan Du castle, as they tend to destroy your siege
weapons and take can affect moral a little, but not by a lot. You do not
want to lose all sets of your siege weapons, so make sure you get those
generals before you open up all the paths to the castle. By the time you
have the castle under siege and all the generals are dead, the soldiers
inside Guan Du castle should say something about the battle being hopeless
and flee through the side gates of the castle. Your weapon should appear
after this happens. Grab your weapon and defeat Cao Cao.

My Ranking: 3 – Easy, but long.

Zhang Jiao

Weapon: Volcano Staff
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Light
Charge: 16
Fill: 17
Defense: 18
Musou: 19
Life: 17

Stage: The Yellow Turban Rebellion, Yellow Turbans

Requirements: Succeed in the stone attack and succeed in converting both Sun
Jian and Cao Cao without any ally generals being defeated, including sub
generals but not including converted generals

Location: Near the center altar

My Method: You do not have to do the stone attack before the converting. In
fact, it’s easier to do the converting first and then the stone attack
second, as Zhang Man Chang is pretty much protected by his soldiers and your
brothers are big pansies. First, go south towards Zhang Liang’s altar.
Stand on the altar and stay there until Sun Jian’s forces are converted to
your side. You shouldn’t have to protect it from anyone, but kill anyone who
sets foot on the altar. Remember not to step off the altar yourself. After
Sun Jian has opened his eyes to the ways of heaven, go to Zhang Bao’s altar
in the center area. Zhang Bao’s alter should be under some attack, but just
from easy soldiers. Attack anyone on the altar and stay there until Cao Cao
praises heaven. Now, run directly back to Zhang Man Chang and defeat Gongsun
Yue. This should make the stone attack successful. If everyone is still
alive, you should get your weapon. The easy part is now done. Grab your
weapon. Now, all you have to do is kill everyone on the stage, which is the
hard part. Dong Zhuo should arrive on the stage when you get near He Jin.
Kill everyone except He Jin before you begin to attack him. This will allow
you to lower moral and give your allies more moral to keep Dong Zhuo
occupied. It’s not easy killing off everyone, especially with someone as bad
as Zhang Jiao. Once everyone’s dead, the stage should end.

My Ranking: 7 – Getting the weapon is easy, getting through the stage isn’t.
Although I did this with a really weak Zhang Jiao, so the ranking would
probably go down if I just leveled him up more. Playing Yellow Turban stages
is not the best way to level up your general.

Meng Huo

Weapon: King of Beasts
Base Attack: 36
Weight: Light
Charge: 15
Fill: 15
Horse: 15
Attack: 18
Life: 19

Stage: Conquest of Nan Zhong, Nanman forces

Requirements: Defeat Wei Yan, Huang Zhong, and Yue Ying and prevent the
defection of your allied generals

Location: In the southern hidden passage

My Method: Wei Yan should be in your face as soon as the stage starts, so
defeat him. Wei Yan’s sub general and Ma Dai should be in the area to annoy
you too, so just take them all out. Once they are gone, head towards Wu
Tugu. You can try to defeat the generals near Wu Tugu, but they flee once
Zhuge Liang orders them too. Wu Tugu should land into the exploding pots
trap. Defeat all four task leaders in the area to stop the pots. Do this to
prevent your ally from defecting. Once Wu Tugu is saved, head for the poison
swamp and defeat Huang Zhong. Now, Yue Ying should have attacked Jinhuan
Sanjie with the juggernauts, so aim for Yue Ying next. The trick is to
defeat Yue Ying before Jinhuan Sanjie dies, as Jinhuan Sanjie’s death
triggers the defection of one of your allies. Defeat Yue Ying and the weapon
will appear. Now, it doesn’t matter if your allies defect, just pound them
into a pulp for being an idiot. Watch out for Yang Fang’s defection though,
as he defects close to your main base and will start aiming for it as soon as
he leaves the Nanman forces. Defeat whoever is left on the stage and finally
take out Zhuge Liang for invading your territory.

My Ranking: 5 – Lots of people to kill and a few quirks here and there in
preventing your allies from leaving your Nanman family. Wei Yan can be pain
as soon as the stage starts since he attacks you with two other generals.

Zhu Rong

Weapon: Inferno
Base Attack: 34
Weight: Medium
Charge: 16
Fill: 17
Bow: 15
Defense: 15
Musou: 18

Stage: The Invasion of Nan Zhong, Nanman forces

Requirements: After King Mulu gets impatient and breaks down the barriers to
the Wu camp without the bridge being destroyed, defeat Gan Ning and Jiang Qin

Location:

My Method: This one is long and boring. Defeat the sub generals that are
attacking the fort near Meng Huo. After this, defeat Zhou Tai. When Meng
Huo orders you to take down the bridge, don’t. Taking down the bridge will
prevent Gan Ning and Jiang Qin from appearing. Instead, take out Lu Xun
(remember, don’t get near the bridge!) and Sun Shang Xiang. Now, wait. It
takes about 17 minutes before King Mulu gets frustrated and attacks without
the bridge being taken down. During this time, you can get items and weapons
and such, maybe watch a baseball game or two, get a tan outside, just
something to do while you wait. Once King Mulu barges through the wall east
of Sun Quan, Gan Ning and Jiang Qin should appear along the western path of
the map as reinforcements. Defeat them both to make your weapon appear, then
defeat Lu Meng and Sun Quan.

My Ranking: 3 - The hardest part about this stage is the waiting.

Zuo Ci

Weapon: Trump Deck
Base Attack: 40
Weight: Medium
Charge: 15
Fill: 20
Bow: 15
Defense: 15
Musou: 20

Stage: Battle of Hu Lao Gate, Allied forces

Requirements: Defeat Lu Bu

Location: On top of the outside southern wall right next to Hu Lao Gate

My Method: Almost exactly like Sun Jian’s weapon, except for the fact that
you don’t have a time limit. Still, what I said before about Lu Bu still
applies here: Lu Bu is weak in this game. Add to the fact that Zuo Ci is
really overpowered and you have an easy weapon to get. Even if you have
problems defeating Lu Bu, you can always kill everyone you see on the map and
then get him surrounded by everyone. It seems like even weak soldiers can
distract him long enough for you to take your musou to him. Also, you can
always try that glitch thing I talked about in my Sun Jian method. However,
like I said, it’s untested and unconfirmed and just strictly from my
observations. Maybe my Lu Bu is more of an idiot than anyone else’s Lu Bu.
After you beat Lu Bu, get your weapon and defeat Dong Zhuo.

My Ranking: 2 – Two less than Sun Jian because of the lack of a time limit
and the use of an overpowered character.

-----------------
6. Regular Items
-----------------

Regular items can be found in boxes or dropped by certain generals. Each
regular item modifies a certain stat on a character. They range from 1 to
20, with 20 being the best. To get better items, you can play on harder
difficulties or play on stages with more stars. Playing on a five star stage
on Hard mode is considered to be the best place to get items, as it has yet
to be proven that Chaos mode actually increases the odds of getting better
items. Also, the Luck stat may affect how good an item is, but there is no
proof of this either. Finally, you can try to find a bodyguard with the Item
skill, which increases the value of the item you get by one, but these
bodyguards are hard to find and train. Here is a list of all the regular
items and which stat they modify.

Peacock Urn: Life Up
Dragon Amulet: Musou Up
Tiger Amulet: Attack Up
Tortoise Amulet: Defense Up
Speed Scroll: Speed Up
Huang’s Bow: Bow Attack and Bow Defense Up
Horned Helm: Horse Attack and Horse Defense Up
Seven Star Belt: Luck Up
Ginseng: Musou Fill Up
Herbal Remedy: Charge Attack Up

--------------
7. Rare Items
--------------

Rare items are found by doing certain tasks on certain stages. These include
harnesses, which have their own item slot, orbs, which also have their own
item slot, and accessories, which share item slots with the regular items.
All items except for orbs can be gotten on any difficulty. Orbs must be
gotten on Hard or Chaos difficulty.

-------------
7a. Harnesses
-------------

Red Hare Harness

Effect: Starts stage on Red Hare, the fastest horse in the game

Stage: Battle of Chang Shan, Yuan Shao’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei within a minute of each
other

My Tips: Defeat Liu Bei last. Make sure you have a fast character that can
kill fast.

Hex Mark Harness

Effect: Starts stage on Hex Mark, which increases luck

Stage: Battle of Cheng Du, Liu Bei’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhang Ran within a minute of his ambush troops
appearing

My Tips: Either you or Pang Tong can set off his ambush, but just kill him
after those archers show up. Those archers shouldn't give you any problem
as they show up too far away from Zhang Ran to do anything.

Shadow Harness

Effect: Starts stage on Shadow Runner, which allows you to withstand most
attacks without falling off

Stage: Battle of Liang Province, Allied forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhang Ji and Hu Zhen within 45 seconds of their
appearance

My Tips: Red Hare is almost required to do this, but another horse may work
also. Either way, a horse is required. Clear out the northeast and
southwest forts first, as that’s where the enemies you must kill appear.
Defeat enemies while you want for Dong Zhuo, but don’t stray to far from one
of the corner forts. When Dong Zhuo appears, head to one of the forts. The
enemy reinforcements at those forts should arrive soon after Dong Zhuo
appears.

Storm Harness

Effect: Starts stage on Storm Runner, which increases both horse attack and
horse defense

Stage: Battle of Guan Du, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Yan Liang and Wen Chou within 5 minutes of the stage
starting

My Tips: Rush Yan Liang as soon as the stage starts, as Guan Yu tends to
kill him quickly. Afterwards, head straight for Wen Chou and defeat him.

Elephant Harness

Effect: Starts stage on an elephant

Stage: Battle of Nan Zhong, Nanman forces

Requirements: Rescue Wu Tugu, King Mulu, and King Duosi without letting an
enemy officer into the main camp

My Tips: Defeat Zhang Jiao and the other general as soon as the stage
starts. To rescue your generals, defeat the main general in the same area.

--------
7b. Orbs
--------

All orbs must be obtained on Hard difficulty.

Fire Orb

Effect: Adds a fire element to your charge attacks, which causes the enemies
to take damage as long as they are on fire

Stage: Battle of Si Shui Gate, Allied forces

Requirements: Get 200 KOs within 2 minutes of the stage starting

My Tips: Just kill people fast. It should not be too difficult.

Ice Orb

Effect: Adds an ice element to your charge attacks, which gives a percentage
of a chance to freeze an enemy. A frozen enemy cannot move and has a lowered
defense.

Stage: Battle of Guan Du, Yuan Shao’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Cao Pi within 4 minutes of the stage starting

My Tips: Just rush Cao Pi. He shouldn’t be too terribly difficult. You
have time to take out other generals in the process. Just don’t waste too
much time.

Light Orb

Effect: Adds a light element to your charge attacks, which break enemies
blocks and deals damage to them.

Stage: Battle of Wu Zhang Plains, Shu forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhen Ji, Cao Ren, and Xu Zhu within five minutes of the
stage starting

My Tips: Rush the enemy generals you have to kill. It’s on hard mode, so it
should be a small challenge, but it’s doable. After you kill all three
generals, also take out Deng Ai, which will help Shu’s moral a bunch.

Shadow Orb

Effect: Adds a shadow element to your charge attacks, which can cause
instant death to weak enemies at the expense of your musou bar

Stage: Battle of Wu Zhang Plains, Wei forces

Requirements: Defeat Jiang Wei before Zhuge Liang dies

My Tips: Rush Jiang Wei, but try to lure out and defeat his sub general
first. Then, lure Jiang Wei out of the main camp and defeat him. There lots
of juggernauts and archers in the main camp, which are no fun at all. After
Jiang Wei dies, Zhuge Liang will not die and will stay the enemy commander
until the end of the stage.

---------------
7c. Accessories
---------------

Art of War

Effect: Increases the length of time that in battle items do (like Attack x
2 and Defense x 2)

Stage: Battle of Chi Bi, Cao Cao’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhuge Liang while he’s retreating

My Tips: Zhuge Liang will retreat from the altar if the prayer for wind is
successful or if Huang Gai is defeated before he can launch the fire attack.

Survival Guide

Effect: Attack will double if in life is in the red and if knocked down
without doing a back flip recovery

Stage: Battle of Hu Lao Gate, Dong Zhuo’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Jian, and Gongsun Zan

My Tips: I got this item on accident, so it’s easy to get.

Bodyguard Manual

Effect: Bodyguards become stronger

Stage: Guan Yu’s Escape, Guan Yu’s forces

Requirements: Defeat all generals from Zhang Liao up to Xu Huang

My Tips: Just go through the stage normally and defeat everyone. Make sure
you keep people off of the carriage. The item appears near the start.

Demon Band

Effect: Musou Rage is longer

Stage: Battle of Xi Liang, Yellow Turbans

Requirements: Defeat Ma Chao within 3 minutes of his appearance

My Tips: It’s a really simple stage and it’s easy to kill Ma Chao within 3
minutes.

Way of Musou

Effect: Allows you to always use True Musou

Stage: Battle of Mt. Ding Jun, Shu forces

Requirements: Defeat Xiahou Yuan before Cao Cao appears

My Tips: Xiahou Yuan is in hyper don’t want to die mode. Other than that,
it’s pretty straight forward.

Wind Scroll

Effect: Increases reach

Stage: Battle of He Fei Castle, Wu forces

Requirements: Defeat Cao Ren within 5 minutes

My Tips: You can’t bust through the front door without the ram. The ram
takes too long to break the door. You have to go around. You have time to
defeat some generals along the way. Just don’t waste too much time.

Fire Arrows

Effect: Changes arrows into fire arrows when shot from first person archery
mode

Stage: Battle of Ji Province, Yuan Shao’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang first, then defeat Pei Yuan
Shao

My Tips: Pretty straight forward. Watch out for spinning tornados.

Arm Guards

Effect: No damage is taken while in the middle of charge attacks (I
think...)

Stage: Battle of Si Shui Gate, Dong Zhuo’s forces

Requirements: Defeat Sun Jian before Cao Cao appears

My Tips: Another one I got on accident. You don’t have to rush Sun Jian,
but you can if you aren’t sure you can get him in time.

Tiger Collar

Effect: Begins stage with a tiger

Stage: Struggle for Nan Zhong, Meng Huo’s forces

Requirements: Defeat 3 beastmasters within a minute of the stage start

My Tips: The beastmasters are near King Mulu. Watch out for the elephants.
They tend to make things hard to kill the beastmasters fast enough.

Green Scroll

Effect: Attack increases but defense decreases

Stage: Battle of Jie Ting, Shu forces

Requirements: Rescue Ma Su and defend the ally main camp

My Tips: To rescue Ma Su, you got to defeat the generals that are in the
surrounding areas. Leave Zhang He’s unit for last and defeat the other
generals that are trying to attack Ma Su. Once they’re all gone, defeat
Zhang He’s unit. By now, Xu Zhu should be trying to take out your main base,
so defeat him. After he’s defeated, run to Sima Yi and defeat him. This
should give you the Ma Su has been rescued message and the item should
appear.

Musou Armor

Effect: Won’t flinch when hit with arrows

Stage: Conquest of Nan Zhong, Nanman forces

Requirements: After defeating one juggernaut, defeat the other six
juggernauts within five minutes

My Tips: Just do the level normally until the juggernauts appear near
Jinhuan Sanjie. Once they do, go to them and defeat your first juggernaut.
These are hard to kill, but try to attack them from the side. If they move
to face you, stop attacking, go to their side, and start attacking again. If
you have a musou token, try to take out two with one musou rage. The
juggernauts are scattered in that one northern middle area and there are
seven of them. You should get a message that you defeated them all when
they’re all destroyed and then you should get a precious item message if you
did it all within five minutes.

Tribal Remedy

Effect: Every 100 kills will produce a meat bun that recovers 50 life

Stage: Battle of He Fei Castle, Wei forces

Requirements: Defeat both rams and defeat Jiang Qin, Pan Zhang, and Sun Shao

My Tips: Head south and take out Taishi Ci and one or two of Lu Xun’s sub
generals. The ram should be near you by now so destroy it. Take out the
rest of Lu Xun’s sub generals and while you’re waiting for the navy to appear
in the east. Once it appears, rush over to the next ram and destroy that
one. Don’t mess with Jiang Qin. Instead, head north to Pan Zhang and defeat
him. He tends to die to Man Chong. By now, Sun Shao should have ambushed
Cao Pi, so run to him, passing Jiang Qin a second time. Sun Shao tends to
die to Cao Pi quickly. Once Sun Shao is dead, run over to Jiang Qin and
defeat him. Claim your item and finish the stage.

Serpent Earrings

Effect: Every 100 kills will give your character a permanent attack + 2
(will not allow your character to go over the max attack stat)

Stage: Battle of He Fei, Wu forces

Requirements: Defeat Xu Huang and Xiahou Dun within a minute of each of
their appearances

My Tips: Not to hard, especially if you have a mount. Just clear out the
center a little then head towards the southwest corner. Xu Huang will appear
here. Defeat him quickly and then head towards Zhang Liao. Defeat him and
head for the northeast corner. Xiahou Dun will appear here around the time
Zhang Liao appears a second time. Defeat Xiahou Dun quickly and claim your
item. Finish the stage normally.

8. Bodyguards
-------------

This section will not be as detailed as EChang's Bodyguard FAQ or
AceLegend90's new S/S Bodyguard FAQ. Both FAQs are really good and have
detailed information about bodyguards. If you are looking for a Superior/S
bodyguard, I suggest you read AceLegend90's FAQ and it gives detailed
instructions and lots of good information on how to get not just one
Superior/S bodyguard, but one Superior/S bodyguard of each type. This
section is just a general overview.

While it was widely thought that the weapon, type, ranking, and appearence of
the bodyguards have been random, it has been proven that it is based on the
internal clock of the PS2. By manipulating the clock and the settings, you
can manipulate which bodyguard you will get. The instructions given in the
S/S Bodyguard FAQ are proven to be correct and I have personally used them to
get a Superior/S bodyguard of each type. Funny thing is, I couldn't get one
of those bodyguards for the life of me and I ended up finishing every
character's musou mode. A week after using this method to get all of the
Superior/S bodyguards I wanted, I ended up getting one the hard way. ^_~

Weapons of bodyguards:

Spear: Male bodyguard that attacks normally
Sword: Female bodyguard that attacks normally
Crossbow: Male bodyguard that has a special charge attack (like Huang
Zhong’s and Xiahou Yuan’s Charge 1s)
Bow: Female bodyguard that has a special charge attack (like Huang Zhong’s
and Xiahou Yuan’s Charge 1s)
Staff: Male bodyguard that uses magic and there's some debate on whether or
not they can heal the your character
Fan: Female bodyguard that is rarer than the other five and has a special
Charge 1 where she can heal you for 50 life

The stats bodyguards have are life, musou, attack, and defense.

Types of bodyguards:

Veteran: Initial stats high, low growth
Remarkable: Initial stats average, average growth
Brilliant: Initial stats low, high growth
Superior: Initial stats high, high growth

Ratings of bodyguards:

One kingdom = C ranking: One stat grows a little more quickly
Two kingdoms = B ranking: Two stats grow a little more quickly
Three kingdoms = A ranking: Three stats grow a little more quickly
All kingdoms = S ranking: Four stats grow a little more quickly

Superior/S bodyguards are the best, but the Superior type is more important
than the S ranking. It has also been my expirence that S bodyguards are
more frequent than Superior bodyguards. It has been reported that a
Superior/B bodyguard has a chance of maxing out completely while a
Brilliant/S bodyguard has no chance of maxing out completely.

Each bodyguard also gets elements and skills as they obtain experience.
Experience is based on kills and on if the bodyguard survived or not.

Bodyguard colors:

The color of your bodyguard is determined by the character you are playing
at the time. For example, if you are playing as Da Qiao and you get a
bodyguard at the end of the stage, that bodyguard will be Red. Here is a
list of all the colors:

Blue: Any Wei character
Green: Any Shu character and Zuo Ci
Red: Any Wu character
Purple: Diao Chan, Dong Zhuo, Meng Huo, and Zhu Rong
White: Lu Bu
Yellow: Yuan Shao, Zhang Jiao

Bodyguard skills:

Group 1:

Heal: Bodyguard heals for 50 life when low on health
Rage: Attack increases when low on health
Wall: Defense increases when low on health

Group 2:

Fame: Moral increases for allied units
Link: Makes increasing permanent stat items through combos easier (to
increase a +1 item, it takes a 6 hit combo instead of an 8 hit combo, to
increase a +2 item, it takes a 12 hit combo instead of a 16 hit combo, to
increase a +4 item, it takes an 18 hit combo instead of a 24 hit combo)
Hire: Makes a new bodyguard show up after every battle

Group 3:

Item: Increases the items found by one
Find: Increases the weapons found by one

Experience and skills learned chart:

Level 1: 0
Level 2: 1000
Level 3: 2000 – Gains one skill from Group 1
Level 4: 4000 – Gains an element
Level 5: 7000 – Gains one skill from Group 2 and gains an element (if an
element is already had, can change the current element)
Level 6: 10000 – Gains one skill from any group if a stat is maxed out.
Gains two skills from any group if all four stats are maxed out

Supposedly, the elements the bodyguards receive are based on the bodyguard's
stats at the time they have reached level 4 and level 5. I just know that
my Superior/S bodyguards have all gotten the Ice element so far.

9. FAQs
-------

Q. Do items have to be gotten on Hard mode?

A. Only Fourth Weapons and Orbs have to be gotten on Hard mode. Everything
else can be gotten on easy through chaos mode.

Q. I've already got a character's four weapon slots filled, but I can't seem
to keep any of the new weapons. Is there any way to keep a new weapon?
Also, am I able to get a fourth weapon if all my slots are filled already?

A. Yes. When you complete a stage, you can replace any of your already
obtained weapons with a new weapon just received on the stage. To do so,
highlight the weapon you don't want and press the X button. This will
replace that weapon with the newly aquired weapon that's in the fifth slot.
Same applies to fourth weapons. I don't know if you can replace a fourth
weapon yet because I haven't tried it.

Q. How do I get in the guide>?

A. Read the guide. I'm a nice person in general, but I don't like repeating
myself. The reason why I wrote the guide is to keep people from having to
ask general questions. Now, if you have a specific question like, "I've
tried to get Cao Pi's weapon five times and I can't get it still here is what
I've done please help," I will gladly respond and explain to you what went
wrong or maybe even discover something that you must do or can't do to get
the weapon. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but yea...it was meant to be that
way.

Q. Where is the Create a Warrior?

A. There is none. It's gone. Get over it. Stop asking me.

10. Special Thanks
------------------

KOEI: For making a game series we all love so much

Muni Shinobu: For always making a great guide for everyone.

EChang: For making guides to help people like me find everything.

Prima Guides: For making such a horrible guide that it gave me the
motivation to make one that was actually good (at least I hope I obtained my
goal).

Megalink8981: For telling me that I forgot to put Zhen Ji’s stage for her
fourth weapon.

TennisshortyBG: For telling me that half of the Wu fourth weapon names were
wrong (well 3, but it felt like half). That’s what I get for doing the
entire Wu section at 3 in the morning after work and doing everything from
memory and too lazy to double check things.

Milenko420: For telling me that I had the stage for Sun Jian's weapon wrong
and for informing me about Zuo Ci's projectile.

Zura Lightbane: For telling me that the side was wrong for the Tribal
Remedy.

Joe Granville: For telling me that Sun Jian's weapon method was wrong
because I was basing it off of Hu Lao Gate instead of Si Shui Gate.

FatJoJo04: For telling me with the right way to get the Hex Mark Saddle (at
least I hope it's right)

Scott Dallas: For telling me a correction on Jiang Wei's fourth weapon and a
correction for Huang Zhong's fourth weapon (which I already knew, but I was
too lazy to put it there)

GoldenEye007331: For telling me a correction for Yue Ying's weapon

Todd Strother: For telling me that Ling Tong’s musou mode stages were missing

11. Copyright and Contact Information
-------------------------------------

If you find any mistakes or see any information that may be wrong or missing
or have a good strategy for a fourth weapon, contact me at
rampidzier@yahoo.com. I retain all rights to post anything in your e-mail on
my FAQ and will give you credit if I do. I will only give credit to the
first person who sends me something.

Hate mail will not be responded to (unless I want to make fun of you) and if
you hate my FAQ, don’t read it. There are plenty of other FAQs to use and
plenty of better ways to use up your time and mine. Any stupid questions or
questions already answered in my FAQ will be deleted. The category of stupid
question is broad and is subject to my whims and bad days. Also, e-mails
that ask for information that is clearly in the FAQ and/or requests for help
that do not have any information on what you have tried will be ignored. I
do not have a lot of time in between work and my life to answer all questions
that could be answered by the guide. Also, I am not a mind reader, so I do
not know your situation or what you have tried and haven't tried. For
example, do not write me an e-mail saying, "Can you help me with Cao Pi's
fourth weapon?" I've written all I can about it in my guide. Also, that
does not tell me what you have done to get it. Otherwise, I will most likely
send a response...maybe...if I feel like it.

This FAQ may only be used on Cheat Code Central (www.cheatcc.com) and
GameFAQs (www.gamefaqs.com). If you see any other site using my FAQ,
please let me know so I can power trip on them.
